lubot<UnsonWong> @tsimonq2 hello22:03
lubot<UnsonWong> how is lubuntu iso built?22:03
lubot<UnsonWong> Generate iso for such a release as lubuntu22:04
wxl@UnsonWong same way all the Ubuntu ones are. ask them :)22:04
lubot<UnsonWong> I want to know the detailed steps22:05
wxllike i said, ask Ubuntu22:06
lubot<UnsonWong> oh22:06
lubot<UnsonWong> are you bot?22:07
wxlsure, yes, i'm a bot. which is why i'm replying directly to your inquiry.22:07
kc2bezlubot is the name of the bridge between telegram and irc22:07
wxloh that's right. things look weird on telegram, too, i guess.22:08
kc2bezA little just in reverse.22:08
kc2bezIt says Lubuntu Bridge Bot on the other side.22:09
lubot<UnsonWong> what22:10
lubot<UnsonWong> are you ok?22:11
lubot<kc2bez> Yeah, we are ok. This Telegram channel is bridged to IRC.22:11
lubot<UnsonWong> Could you tell me the steps to generate lubuntu iso?22:13
lubot<kc2bez> Like wxl said you would have to ask Ubuntu.22:13
kc2bezwxl Time for our meeting?22:14
lubot<UnsonWong> what is wxl?22:14
wxlit's a force of pure evil22:15
wxlkc2bez: seems like it22:15
wxl@tsimonq2: you alive?22:15
lubot<tsimonq2> Sorta22:15
lubot<tsimonq2> Sup22:15
wxlalright who else is around?22:16
kc2bezo/22:16
* wxl pins drop22:16
kc2bezcrickets sound22:17
wxlwow jeez ok22:17
wxli guess this will be a quick one22:17
wxlkc2bez: want to go?22:17
kc2bezSure22:17
kc2bezTrusted != Trust22:18
wxli bet lynorian is lurking somewhere too22:18
wxlheh yes22:18
wxlnuff sed XD22:18
kc2bezI submitted a patch for T18022:18
lubot<UnsonWong> how to make ubuntu iso22:19
kc2bezBeen testing the dailies for the LXQt change to 0.1422:19
lubot<UnsonWong> custom ubuntu iso22:19
wxl@UnsonWong: go ask the Ubuntu folks. not this channel. we don't provide the infrastructure for it, so we don't have the details.22:19
wxlkc2bez: i haven't seen any new bugs pop up. everything seems to be running smooth? you doing exploratory testing?22:20
lubot<UnsonWong> right22:20
kc2bezI think there may be some tasks we can close, I will try to pick some off if I can.22:20
wxlbtw @tsimonq2 re ^^^ you need to review and land D54 please22:20
kc2bezYeah, I am running it here on my main machine and things seem good so far.22:20
wxldig deep. i found lots of bugs when i started early cosmic cycle just clicking and trying everything i could find.22:21
kc2bezI'm not sure if I like the new notification thing or not but it works as intended.22:21
kc2bezI will try to put some more time on it.22:21
lubot<UnsonWong> (Sticker, 512x512) https://telegram.lubuntu.me/Mqtqc0FI/file_6014.png22:22
wxlyeah @HMollerCl had noticed some quirks about it22:22
lubot<UnsonWong> (Sticker, 414x512) https://telegram.lubuntu.me/H0mV9V0t/file_6015.png22:22
wxlin particular, keyboard-trigger sound events lead to notifications and the only way to turn it off is to ignore the panel altogether which seems less than ideal. i don't know if the upstream bug was filed22:22
lubot<UnsonWong> can you see the picture?22:23
wxl@UnsonWong: you're interrupting our meeting. please desist.22:23
lubot<UnsonWong> OK22:23
wxls/trigger/triggered/22:23
lubot<UnsonWong> sorry22:23
kc2bezNot sure. It does work I suppose but every IRC message sets it off so I need to tweak that.22:24
wxlew22:24
wxlthat's probably configurable in quassel (or whatever you use) i imagine22:24
kc2bezI get notified by IRC anyway, I don't need two notifications.22:24
wxloh in that case, you could just ignore it altogether22:25
kc2bezQuassel and LXQt are notifying me, so I need to kill one of them.22:25
kc2bezOn the fence, not really a bug though.22:25
wxli would say that it might be good to turn off notifications for any application with robust notification handling22:25
kc2bezI agree.22:26
wxlwell it's worth some tweaking22:26
wxlso if you want to make a task to go through all the apps and figure that out, that would be rad22:26
kc2bezSure, I can try to cover that.22:26
wxlthank you.. and for the lovely patch. i'm sure once @tsimonq2 comes up for air again we can get that one in22:26
lubot<SamuelBanya> Did you respond to my email yet wxl?22:27
kc2bezdesktop files for terminal apps work now too, so I think T170 should be good, I can write it up.22:27
wxl@SamuelBanya not yet. will shortly. just checked off the one last prerequisite to my response22:27
wxlnice22:27
kc2bezI think that is it from me.22:29
wxlk thx dan22:29
wxl@SamuelBanya you want to go?22:29
lubot<SamuelBanya> Yeah sure.22:29
lubot<SamuelBanya> So I've delegated only one day to help out with the welcome center aka Thursday nights after work for 2 hours aka 1 hour for C++ book work and then application to the welcome center with qt docs. I need someone's help to move off the need of using qt creator and to just utilize the terminal to make edits within the project since t22:32
lubothe CMake ir Qt docs aren't too newbie friendly. If someone has more experience with qt and can help me learn how to learn from the docs that would be great. Otherwise I tried adding the resources to the CMakeLists.txt file to add Artems resources but i still am that guy who thinks we should just use QMake since it's just a one off utility.22:32
lubot<SamuelBanya> Other than that, past helping make sure that's released I would like to just hunt Python based bugs with Hans on backup since I disagree with the use of CMake for the Welcome Center. I'm willing to stick with it for the April release but I'd rather have more say on any future projects with you guys. It irks me on that level to not22:34
lubot have some level of control22:34
lubot<SamuelBanya> Anyway thats it for me. Hoping that works out22:34
wxli'm not sure i understand the why but i do know there are certain constraints we face that are sort of related to packaging. that may well be the case.22:35
wxlregarding not using qt creator if you're familiar with all of the semantics and syntax, it should be pretty easy. if not, though, probably not.22:37
wxland don't get irked. we have to occassionally make some decisions that might appear negative in some aspect or another, but are intended for the overall well being of the project. getting rid of 32 bit for example. i'm sure folks would like to have a say to change that, but it's not something we can support22:38
wxltl;dr it's not about you22:38
wxlthanks @SamuelBanya22:41
wxlthanks?22:41
wxls/?/!/22:41
wxlwho's next?22:42
kc2bezYou or @tsimonq2 I think.22:43
wxli'll go then22:43
wxlso i helped track down the trusted executable thing22:43
wxl(but kc2bez gets the credit!)22:44
wxlgot some isos spinning again so getting back to testing22:44
kc2bezYou are too kind XD22:44
wxlhope to go through the changelogs for 0.14.0 and try to make sense out of it22:44
wxland do some more exploratory testing22:44
wxlsee if i can't grease the wheels on anything <0.14.022:45
wxlthere's some lubuntu council stuff to do22:45
wxland plenty of bugs clogging up my email that i need to go through22:45
wxland that's where i'm at22:45
wxlyou're last @tsimonq2 22:45
kc2bezwxl While we wait.22:48
kc2bezI just noticed in the desktop preferences advanced tab, desktop shortcuts are back.22:49
kc2bezComputer, Home, Network, Trash etc.22:49
kc2bezYou have to enable it though.22:50
wxlyep i saw that22:50
wxli'm thinking we might want to enable that by default22:50
kc2bezI noticed it in the libfm code.22:50
kc2bezRight, I seem to recall that in 18.0422:50
wxlyeps22:51
wxli want to see if mounts work too22:51
kc2bezSame.22:51
kc2bezNetwork browsing works better for SMB folks.22:52
wxlgood22:53
kc2bezMy mounts are shortcuts in pcmanfm but they don't automatically appear on the desktop.22:53
kc2bezI'll look at it some more.22:54
wxlit probably means they don't support it22:54
wxlwhich is not surprising as the other shortcuts are pretty much brand new22:54
kc2bezCool, trash changes color if it has stuff vs. empty.22:55
kc2bezIt's the little things.22:56
kc2bez@tsimonq2, you back?22:57
wxl@tsimonq2: @tsimonq2 @tsimonq2 @tsimonq2 @tsimonq2 @tsimonq2 @tsimonq2 @tsimonq2 @tsimonq2 22:57
lubot<tsimonq2> No, sorry23:09
kc2bezTake care Simon.23:14
lubot<tsimonq2> Thanks23:23
