[00:00] Holy cow there's a lot of ssh hacking attempts. [00:00] I'm being targeted, I think. Is this even close to normal? [00:00] I get that on my boxes as well [00:01] This is in 15 minutes. [00:02] Not abnormal, seems like a bother looking for vulnerable IoT devices [01:19] Been happening forever. I remember getting a call in the early 2000's about 2am from a buddy of mine screaming in to the phone " Dude. I been hacked!! This is freaking cool, get over here and see this!!!" Hahaha [04:06] It's not normal for my connection. I keep getting errors. Usually I have about 20 in my blocks. Right now I've got a botnet scanning me. [04:10] I've currently got 1575 unique IP addresses blocked. I'm resetting the IPs every 15 minutes automatically. [13:04] AdamOutler, are you running Fail2Ban? [14:23] No. Just suricata [14:34] Does Suricata do mitigation or just detection? [14:35] I hadn't heard of it before. The website seems to be focused on the detection aspect. [14:36] Fail2ban detects malicious activities and will add iptable rules to ban IPs from which malicious activity is detected. [15:09] saw this on my way home last night [15:09] Has it really gotten that bad [15:24] Diabetic strips can be expensive [15:29] ... besides the point [15:30] It's bad, I moved from the bay area 6 months and was shocked by the relative lack of pan handlers/homeless here [15:30] Morning folks [15:31] I am fortunate, I'm not sure how many people make it in this society [15:31] So so hard [15:43] @maxolasersquad, It's a full intrusion detection/prevention system. [15:58] It looks really cool. I wish I had the bandwidth to pursue it.
