=== brainwash_ is now known as brainwash [02:27] anyway to set env vars? [02:32] I guess the real question is, how to get lightdm to set env-vars [02:40] found it! ~/.xprofile [20:38] anyone using QUASSEL iRC here ? [22:12] justtesting: I use Quassel, You still here? [22:13] am [22:13] Cool. What's your issue? [22:13] why do you use it over hex ? [22:13] just finding it different to use [22:13] (the fact you can't bookmark rooms etc) [22:14] Because I have my quassel core on a remote server that's always on, and I can simply connect to that. Essentially, it keeps me signed-in all the time and I can access it anywhere from the quasel client, and quasseldroid on my phone. [22:14] justtesting: Quassel doesn't generally have the most features or best support for some IRC features, but what it does have is the client/core concept. The core runs on some server somewhere, then you can connect with quassel on the desktop or phone and have all the scrollback. [22:15] Think of it like ZNC but more integrated. [22:15] I also have no need to bookmark rooms since, if I leave a room, it keeps the room in the sidebar. It doesn't actually delete the room unless I specifically ask it to. [22:18] JackFrost: Is Quassel much better than weechat, or how do they compare? [22:19] gnrp: You can run weechat in tmux or screen, so different way to keep scrollback. weechat has scripting support and generally better IRCv3 support, but again cli vs gui client. [22:19] ah, so basically covering your fomo [22:34] JackFrost: There is a Qt weechat gui afaik. I just thought you might have compared them already [22:34] gnrp: Heh, nah. I don't use weechat or quassel. :) [22:54] eickmeyer - you don't have to bookmark rooms, but what if you want to try a different server, it saves them ? [22:54] (it saves the existing rooms?) [22:54] justtesting: Yep. [22:54] Right now, I'm logged-in to about 4 different servers. [22:56] aha [22:56] anything you recommend ? [23:34] justtesting: Not at this time. I'm on them mostly out of necessity.
