astraljavaHi all, I have a long history with *buntu, currently (and for the past ~10 years) using Xubuntu. One part I haven't delved too deeply, though, is kernel and it's lifecycle for releases. I'm struggling with some issues on my new Lenovo ThinkPad P52, there are issues which were not present with the initial kernel line (4.15 I believe) but were introduced with the current line (4.18). I'm talking about09:12
astraljava18.10 release. I checked your 4.19 line (from PPA), which fixed many (most?) issues, but couldn't use the nVidia drivers with that. So my question is, are there plans to upgrade the kernel line for 18.10 or will I have to do it manually, or wait for 19.04?09:12
tjaaltonastraljava: it'll stay at 4.1809:20
tjaaltonbut, you actually have an option to use the oem kernel which is available on cosmic too and is based on 4.1509:22
astraljavatjaalton: Thanks! I'll look into that. :) Good info, appreciated!09:23
