lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> What should be the test plan?00:02
* The_LoudSpeaker drinks a coffee00:04
wxlthat an iso built from that seed does not include ubuntu-report00:05
wxlin an ideal world, also that our packageset does not include golang packages00:05
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> noted00:05
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> D700:07
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @The_LoudSpeaker [D7], The differential revision00:08
lubot<HMollerCl> I'm kind of undecided between papirus and e-papirus icon00:10
wxlbtw @The_LoudSpeaker in your differential revision descriptions, if there's a task, add a reference to it in there. i.e. Removed ubuntu-report as it was not required T5000:11
lubot<HMollerCl> E-papirus make boring menu icons look better (about lxqt, skanlite, Screenshot, printers) but the app icon not so good, because they are greish instead of blackish00:12
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @wxl [<wxl> btw @The_LoudSpeaker in your differential revision descriptions, if there' …], noted. should I edit the description now?00:12
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @HMollerCl [I'm kind of undecided between papirus and e-papirus icon], e- papirus is only for elementary os right?00:13
lubot<HMollerCl> Not only, it was made for it00:14
lubot<HMollerCl> But any distro can use it00:14
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> k. but imo papirus looks better in lubuntu.00:15
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> I was cloning lubuntu-default-settings for T21. Idk its empty after cloning00:21
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> Here is the pastebin of clone:00:22
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> https://phab.lubuntu.me/P400:22
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> Why am I getting the warning that "remote HEAD refers to nonexistent ref, unable to checkout." ?00:24
kc2bezWhat is the output of `git branch`00:24
wxl@The_LoudSpeaker sure you can edit the description if you want00:25
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @kc2bez [<kc2bez> What is the output of `git branch`], Nothing. empty00:26
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @wxl [<wxl> @The_LoudSpeaker sure you can edit the description if you want], arc diff —update D5 right?00:26
wxlmmm i think it might be amend00:26
wxlor you can just get on and edit it XD00:26
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @kc2bez [<kc2bez> What is the output of `git branch`], Lite. got that. I ran git checkout ubuntu\disco00:27
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @wxl [<wxl> or you can just get on and edit it XD], ???00:27
wxlgo to the url and edit it00:27
* The_LoudSpeaker scratches head00:27
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @wxl [<wxl> go to the url and edit it], okay.gotcha00:27
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @wxl [<wxl> go to the url and edit it], Done00:29
wxlsoo now you're trying to check out lubuntu-default-settings?00:30
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @wxl [<wxl> soo now you're trying to check out lubuntu-default-settings?], for xcreensavers task00:30
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> you mentioned na ki it would be another addition to default settings00:31
wxlohh uh actually00:31
wxlthese should all go into the eagle branch but we don't have any00:32
wxl@tsimonq2: you need to make branches i'm assuming?00:32
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> eagle - the next release code name?00:32
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> full name?00:32
lubot<tsimonq2> Nope00:33
lubot<tsimonq2> Eagle isn't the name00:33
lubot<tsimonq2> It's just a placeholder00:33
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> Enlighting Eagle? XD00:33
lubot<tsimonq2> I was waiting for someone to notice XD00:33
wxli figured as such/didn't care00:33
kc2bezI noticed, it's horrible XD00:33
kc2bezJK of course00:34
wxlare you, though? :)00:34
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @kc2bez [<kc2bez> I noticed, it's horrible XD], It really is.00:34
kc2bezKidding tsimonq2 sure.00:34
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> So T21 posponed untill we get a ubuntu/eagle branch ?00:35
wxl@tsimonq2: can we make a placeholder branch that we can rename or have a symbolic link sort of thing like devel?00:35
* The_LoudSpeaker sleeps00:57
lubot<tsimonq2> @wxl [<wxl> @tsimonq2: can we make a placeholder branch that we can rename or have a s …], No01:02
wxlbah so we wait01:02
lubot<tsimonq2> Yes01:12

kc2bezWe love you Simon!01:19
lubot<tsimonq2> <301:20
lubot<tsimonq2> Time to test until we're blue in the face, and write release notes!01:22
wxlnot sure you noticed but all of our last minute fixes are tested01:25
lubot<tsimonq2> Throw it at the wall01:25
lubot<tsimonq2> You know, the usual release testing01:25
wxlyep01:26
wxli know i've got some known bugs for you01:26
tewardwxl: lynorian: tsimonq2: I need a priority list for this weekend on what you want me to finish work on *first* for infra01:26
wxlof course the usb-creator-kde one is obvious01:26
tewardcurrent priority list is RTD, Phab inbound, and Discourse in that order, unless you want to discuss amongst yourselves and override?01:26
wxlteward: my vote is RTD01:26
wxl+101:26
lubot<tsimonq2> +101:27
wxli see RTD as urgent, phab inbound as high and discourse as wishlist01:27
lubot<tsimonq2> Agreed01:27
tewardif we're in agreement then i'll tackle RTD first01:28
wxlwell i KNOW lynorian wants that first so we don't even have to ask her X''''D01:28
tewardPhab inbound mail is going to be a liiiitle more tricky and also has a third-party blocker (Canonical IS needs to coordinate some things)01:28
teward:P01:28
wxlphab inbound won't be quite so urgent as we'll have a lull until development opens, or at least we have a codename01:29
tewardack01:29
tewardthe good thing is from Phab's specific perspective...01:29
tewardit's ready to 'accept' inbound mail01:29
tewardthe bad thing is, SMTP is a pain, and has a LOT of DNS integration so01:30
wxlthat said, for anyone that's looking for work to do after release and until development for ee-series is open..... help me with bug triage darn you!!!!01:30
tewardwxl: in Soviet Russia... bugs triage YOU!01:30
teward*shot*01:30
wxlhey teward what do you think about `remarkup.enable-embedded-youtube true`?01:31
tewardassert isinstance(context, Object) is not None;01:32
tewardAssertionError01:32
wxl? XD01:32
tewardwxl: you need to brush up on your Python01:33
tewardcontext is missing wrt the question01:33
tewardand is required01:33
wxlit's a config option for phab to allow youtube embeds01:33
lubot<tsimonq2> @wxl [<wxl> that said, for anyone that's looking for work to do after release and unti …], You mean the Electric Eagle? ;P01:33
wxlsmh01:33
tewardwxl: why do we want or need YouTube embeds, just wondering?01:34
wxlthere was a situation the other day i wanted to include one :)01:34

lubot<tsimonq2> EAGLE01:37
teward@tsimonq2 so... that's a "Yes, enable" or a "No, leave it alone" for youtube embeds?01:37
lubot<tsimonq2> Correct01:38
lubot<tsimonq2> Yes01:38
lubot<tsimonq2> Do it01:38
lubot<teward001> standby...01:39
lubot<teward001> *accidentally crashes phab* ...ooops01:39
wxlum @tsimonq2 you can't say electric eagle01:39
wxlyou HAVE to say EE01:39
wxlbecause otherwise it wouldn't be in an acronym01:40
wxl*shot*01:40
lubot<tsimonq2> ELECTRIC EAGLE01:40
lubot<tsimonq2> I wanna see if anyone legit picks up on it01:40
lubot<teward001> wxl: want to test it now?01:40
lubot<tsimonq2> "Oh yeah, found the codename"01:40

lubot<EgenhoferJ> Does Lubuntu NOT include OpenVPN packages by default?17:06
tewardno Ubuntu variant ships OpenVPN packages as part of a default install, but they are able to be installed17:07
tsimonq2That's a really good question that I would love to know the answer to. :)17:07
tsimonq2teward: orly?17:07
lubot<HMollerCl> You are talking about client or server?17:07
tewardtsimonq2: *points at the 19.04 Lubuntu, Ubuntu, Xubuntu, and Kubuntu installs he's been testing for reasons, and points at OpenVPN client bits not being installed*17:07
tewardHMollerCl: that'd be 'both' in answer to the original question17:07
lubot<HMollerCl> Yes, only that for client I know how to Install it17:08
lubot<HMollerCl> Basically you have to install network-manager-gnome17:08
lubot<HMollerCl> Cannot configure VPN with nm-try17:09
lubot<EgenhoferJ> Client17:09
lubot<EgenhoferJ> What's the preferred method for configuring VPN connections on LXQT then?17:10
lubot<EgenhoferJ> Aside from specific services providing clients of their own.17:10
lubot<HMollerCl> Installing network-manager-gnome and the related protocol pacakges17:11
lubot<EgenhoferJ> That's what I thought, thank you. :)17:11
lubot<HMollerCl> In case of open VPN network-manager-openvpn and network-manager-openvpn-gnome17:13
lubot<HMollerCl> You can connect with nm-tray, but not configure vpn17:13

wxlthat's the idea23:14
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> also, that reminds me, during installation, the grub entry is created with name 'ubuntu' The  nvram entry as  well as the entry on grub screen has name ubuntu. Shouldn't it be lubuntu? Elementary os has it's own name afaik.23:15
lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @wxl [<wxl> that's the idea], will look  it up.23:16
kc2bezwxl: bug 1801421 seems like expected behavior in my mind. The resolution is changing from SDDM to the actual session. For me it is brief but I do notice it. I also notice it when I hit apply and I change the resolution. It may vary based on graphics cards/drivers too.23:22

lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> @tsimonq2 [<tsimonq2> It doesn't work with secureboot, last time I checked.], You mean to say secure boot needs the nvram entry to be named as 'ubuntu' ?23:36

lubot<The_LoudSpeaker> My work laptop's uefi is a bit fucked up doesn't allows to change nvram entries so I have to manually add entries using uefi-shell. I always add entries with name of distro and it works with secure boot.23:37
