lubot<SamuelBanya> Please don't ask to ask a question, simply ask the question (all on ONE line and in the channel, so that others can read and follow it easily). If anyone knows the answer they will most likely reply. :-) See also !patience17:02
lubot<SamuelBanya> Basically you can ask a support question regarding Lubuntu.17:03

noob99Which Lubuntu release should I use for a Powerbook G4 (circa 2005)?  18.04.2 Bionic Beaver LTS (32 Bit)?23:23
wxlnoob99: no longer supported, sorry23:24
noob99@wxl: So I can't use Lubuntu on a Powerbook G4 at all?23:25
wxlnoob99: that's correct. there's no supported release that will work.23:28
noob99@wxl: ok, that must be recent then.  Any other lightweight Linux distro's you can recommend that would work on a Powerbook G4?23:29
wxlnoob99: yes, it's pretty new. only been two years. https://news.softpedia.com/news/lubuntu-17-04-zesty-zapus-powerpc-daily-build-isos-to-no-longer-be-developed-512659.shtml23:36
guivercnoob99, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PowerPCDownloads only mentions EOL releases; flavors [LTS] have 3 years of support so you'd need a 18.04 release, and powerpc was left (raspberry pi's are about as fast & cheap I've heard on Ubuntu podcast on why mate dropped them)23:37
wxlnoob99: what's new is that support for 16.04 just ended23:38
noob99ok, thank you guys for the info, I appreciate it!  Maybe I'll just sell the Powerbook then lol23:38
wxlgood luck getting anything for it XD23:38
noob99@wxl: gotcha thx23:38
wxlyou might try debian or arch23:38
noob99yeah probably not worth anything ;)23:38
noob99ok maybe I'll check those out.  Thanks again.23:39
wxlnp. good luck23:39
