seb128bug #173488713:32
ubot5bug 1734887 in gnome-shell (Ubuntu Cosmic) "No caps lock indicator on login screen" [Low,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/173488713:32
seb128while it would be good to fix I don't think it's important enough to be rls targetted13:32
seb128Trevinho, is that something you plan to backport/include on older series?13:33
didrocksfor 2 months of support? time for the SRU to get in, get it out of -proposed…13:33
seb128it impacts bionic as well (which is the serie we currently review)13:34
Laneymore bugs being directly nominated ._.13:34
seb128Laney, I know ...13:34
kenvandinenot going to be able to stop that :/13:34
seb128I wonder if that power could be restricted :/13:34
seb128anyway, doesn't change much, if it had been tagged we would review it the same way13:34
didrocksseb128: ah sorry, mislead by the title :)13:34
seb128I vote -113:34
Laneyyep13:34
oSoMoNI vote -1 on didrocks's proposal to retire bionic in 2 months13:35
seb128ok, let's un-target (unless Trevinho already decided to backport/include in the next upload in which case he can take it)13:35

seb128that's a SRU regression13:36
seb128kenvandine, Till said he's not around for the meeting but I guess it's for him? can you make sure he deals with it top priority since it's a LTS SRU regression?13:36

seb128bug #182969913:40
ubot5bug 1829699 in gnome-shell (Ubuntu) "Switches are gone from the VPN menu" [Low,Incomplete] https://launchpad.net/bugs/182969913:40
seb128jibel reported/tagged this one13:40
seb128I didn't upgrade to eoan yet but I want to test that on my inspiron today13:41
seb128if it's confirmed I vote +1 otherwise -113:41
seb128jibel didn't provide the journal log so it doesn't help to know what's going on13:41
seb128jibel, you should know about including that by default with reports :)13:41
seb128(unsure why apport doesn't do it for gnome-shell reports)13:41
seb128others? anyone on eoan yet? did you see the issue?13:42
didrocksI heard the issue is only when you have multiple vpns13:42
seb128k, then it's -1 for me13:42
seb128we should still fix it13:42
didrocks(but can't confirm here, only one vpn, and didn't upgrade yet, but will do next week)13:42
seb128but it's cosmectic and edge case13:42
seb128k, let's skip, I will deal with it according to what the testing points out13:43
seb128might be worth testing also with disco-proposed's gnome-shell13:43
seb128in case that's a regression in that update13:43
seb128didrocks, thx :)13:43
seb128other one is bug #116247513:44
ubot5bug 1162475 in systemd (Ubuntu Xenial) "[hostnamed] Changing hostname doesn't update /etc/hosts" [Low,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/116247513:44
seb128I will deal with it, but I think it's rather a systemd issue (cyphermo_x seemed to agree when I mentioned it to him)13:44
seb128so probably invalid for us13:44
seb128g-c-c just calls to hostnamed I think (need to check though)13:45

Odd_BlokeHey folks!  I'm currently running on an SSD running in my laptop.  I'm in the process of setting up a desktop, and to save me from having to buy an extra drive, I'd like to just install the SSD in my desktop.  Can anyone foresee any issues I might run in to by so doing?14:50
Odd_BlokeOne question I have: the new desktop will have only Nvidia graphics, whereas my laptop uses the integrated Intel graphics.  Should I install the Nvidia drivers before I move the drive, or will that not have any effect if I'm not already on a platform with an Nvidia card?14:51
Odd_Bloke(And if I don't install the Nvidia drivers, I assume there's enough support in the kernel to at least get me to an unaccelerated desktop?)14:51
seb128Odd_Bloke, hey, moving the SSD should just work, you can probably install the drivers after moving14:53
