[08:16] relaxing yeah :) [08:27] kenvandine, eog-master snap started to fail build because they updated the librsvg requirement to a version that is only in disco and that's not where the snap builds ... unsure what's best to workaround, maybe build librsvg in the snap for now? === pieq_ is now known as pieq [10:33] BI LE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [10:34] anyone know how to fix https://bileto.ubuntu.com/log/3724/publish/2/info/ ? [13:33] for 2 months of support? time for the SRU to get in, get it out of -proposed… [13:34] it impacts bionic as well (which is the serie we currently review) [13:34] more bugs being directly nominated ._. [13:34] Laney, I know ... [13:34] not going to be able to stop that :/ [13:34] I wonder if that power could be restricted :/ [13:34] anyway, doesn't change much, if it had been tagged we would review it the same way [13:34] seb128: ah sorry, mislead by the title :) [13:34] I vote -1 [13:34] yep [13:35] I vote -1 on didrocks's proposal to retire bionic in 2 months [13:35] ok, let's un-target (unless Trevinho already decided to backport/include in the next upload in which case he can take it) [13:35] oSoMoN, :) [13:35] next [13:35] bug #1798074 [13:35] bug 1798074 in libreoffice (Ubuntu Bionic) "LIbreoffice crashes on startup" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1798074 [13:35] oSoMoN: pfffffffffffff :p [13:35] that's assigned now [13:35] I've got that yeah [13:36] thx marcustomlinson [13:36] bug #1829566 [13:36] bug 1829566 in network-manager (Ubuntu) "network-manager 1.10.14-0ubuntu2 ignores systemd-resolved configured dns" [High,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1829566 [13:36] that's a SRU regression [13:36] kenvandine, Till said he's not around for the meeting but I guess it's for him? can you make sure he deals with it top priority since it's a LTS SRU regression? [13:36] (we might want to ask SRU team to block the phasing? anyway, out of meeting topic) [13:37] yes [13:37] thx [13:37] that's all for bionic [13:37] #topic rls-cc-bugs === meetingology changed the topic of #ubuntu-desktop to: Home of the Desktop Team, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopTeam | For help or questions, try #ubuntu | Work (read-only for non-developers): https://trello.com/b/uEut6bfN/ubuntu-desktop-1910-cycle | Desktop Team Meeting - 2019-05-21 | Current topic: rls-cc-bugs [13:37] http://reqorts.qa.ubuntu.com/reports/rls-mgr/rls-cc-incoming-bug-tasks.html [13:37] no desktop entry [13:37] http://reqorts.qa.ubuntu.com/reports/rls-mgr/rls-cc-tracking-bug-tasks.html [13:38] same gnome-shell one [13:38] (time to redo the same show for the "No caps…" and I will be right this time!) [13:42] I heard the issue is only when you have multiple vpns [13:42] k, then it's -1 for me [13:42] we should still fix it [13:42] (but can't confirm here, only one vpn, and didn't upgrade yet, but will do next week) [13:42] but it's cosmectic and edge case [13:43] k, let's skip, I will deal with it according to what the testing points out [13:43] might be worth testing also with disco-proposed's gnome-shell [13:43] in case that's a regression in that update [13:43] didrocks, thx :) [13:44] other one is bug #1162475 [13:44] bug 1162475 in systemd (Ubuntu Xenial) "[hostnamed] Changing hostname doesn't update /etc/hosts" [Low,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1162475 [13:44] I will deal with it, but I think it's rather a systemd issue (cyphermo_x seemed to agree when I mentioned it to him) [13:44] so probably invalid for us [13:45] g-c-c just calls to hostnamed I think (need to check though) [13:45] [13:45] http://reqorts.qa.ubuntu.com/reports/rls-mgr/rls-ee-tracking-bug-tasks.html [13:45] all assigned! [14:42] Trevinho, ^ [14:42] he'll have bug mail [14:43] you have faith in italian emails servers :p [14:50] Hey folks! I'm currently running on an SSD running in my laptop. I'm in the process of setting up a desktop, and to save me from having to buy an extra drive, I'd like to just install the SSD in my desktop. Can anyone foresee any issues I might run in to by so doing? [14:51] One question I have: the new desktop will have only Nvidia graphics, whereas my laptop uses the integrated Intel graphics. Should I install the Nvidia drivers before I move the drive, or will that not have any effect if I'm not already on a platform with an Nvidia card? [14:51] (And if I don't install the Nvidia drivers, I assume there's enough support in the kernel to at least get me to an unaccelerated desktop?) [14:53] Odd_Bloke, hey, moving the SSD should just work, you can probably install the drivers after moving [14:53] it should boot using nouveau until you do === alan_g is now known as alan_g_ [14:56] OK, great! But sorry I didn't make in getting me up at 8 for the meeting today as last night I wanted to finish the 3.28.4 packaging... [15:37] Trevinho, no worry [16:06] Laney: on those 3.28.4 SRU overrides what you think? [16:06] dunno what you mean [16:06] can we try to get those in queue instead?
