BenderRodriguezI'm trying to install Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS but for some reason the connected interface is not shown as link up despite there being a connected link there. THe interface itself is detected. As such, I'm unable to get past the network configuration stage of the installer. Any ideas on how to resolve this?02:55
BenderRodriguezThe NIC card is detected as a Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM570902:55
cncr04shave you tried to bypass network setup (you can do that later)04:22
rbasakteward: it'll be someone else.12:52
tewardrbasak: mmkay.  just was wondering which PHP's oging to land in Eoan.16:55
rbasakteward: I think the plan was to bring it up to buster, but we had to defer last cycle due to some library. pcre3 -> pcre2 IIRC.17:06
sudoISSSo, it looks like Ubuntu 18.04's repos offer OpenSSL 1.1.0g as the version.18:18
sudoISSThis is frustrating, since 1.1.1 is out, and has been for awhile, and isn't going to fall out of support this September...18:26
sudoISS...so if I manually install the latest version/branch of OpenSSL... how will that conflict with my repos and such?18:27
TJ-sudoISS: 1.1.1 is in -proposed currently18:35
TJ-openssl/bionic-proposed 1.1.1-1ubuntu2.1~18.04.1 amd6418:35
