IrcsomeBot<ahoneybun> @acheronuk yesterdays daily ISO installed fine.16:28
IrcsomeBot<ahoneybun> I let the installer do the work though.16:28
IrcsomeBot<acheronuk> Good to know :)16:28
ahayzenacheronuk, hey, as the last uploader of plasma-discover, there was an accidental break of the ABI in the previous flatpak build in Eoan (1.4.0), this has since been fixed (1.4.1) but plasma-discover was uploaded while it was broken and is a rdepends of libflatpak0. Are you able to do a no change rebuild of plasma-discover in Eoan to resolve any issues ?19:47
valoriesitter: have you read https://blogs.gnome.org/hughsie/2019/02/14/packagekit-is-dead-long-live-well-something-else/20:30
valorieI would love to know your thoughts about it re: pkcon use and Discover20:30
wxlgnome announcing something is dead while they seem to expect every gtk version to exist on the same system? madness20:31
valorieI find it a bit bizarre that they get it to a state of Just Working and then kick it to the curb20:31
valoriewxl: lol20:31
wxlseriously, have you read the "gtk 4.0 is not gtk 4" article? it's serious crazy making.20:34
valorieI've not20:35
valoriealso I recall that sitter is off for the week20:35
wxlhttps://blogs.gnome.org/desrt/2016/06/13/gtk-4-0-is-not-gtk-4/20:37
valorieI don't really keep up with gnomie stuff, but keithzg and I were discussing using pkcon20:37
wxloh i don't really either, except that i like to watch how messed up it is so i can convince people to go to qt XD20:38
valoriecrazy making enough that that article gave me a headache about 3 paras in20:38
wxlhah you didn't even get to the meat of it20:38
valorieso not reading the rest20:38
valorie"chaos reigns"20:39
valorie"situation normal; all ()&*(%* up"20:39
valoriedid I get it?20:39
valorie"this is not the API you were looking for"20:40
wxlthat one XD20:40
keithzgwxl: That "gtk 4.0 is not gtk 4" article is downright Lovecraftian, it's raw cosmic horror, I remember reading it back around when it was published and it being just more terror than a human mind can contain. Looking it back up right now I see https://blogs.gnome.org/desrt/2016/06/14/gtk-5-0-is-not-gtk-5/ which almost might be worse since it's basically "everyone knows semantic versioning is useful and great for consistency, but what our development 22:01
keithzgprocess posits is: what if we ignored all that?"22:01
wxlkeithzg: oh god it gets crazier22:02
