crimson_kingHow do I tell featherpad to insert spaces instead of tabs?00:51
crimson_kingHow to enable touchpad tap to click then? On LXQt...01:18
crimson_kingno way through GUI?01:18
kc2bezcrimson_king: Which version of Lubuntu?01:19
crimson_king19.0401:22
kc2bezFrom the menu click on Preferences --> LXQt settings --> Keyboard and Mouse01:23
kc2bezOn the left column at the bottom is Mouse and Touchpad.01:23
kc2bezOn the mouse and touchpad screen you should see single click to activate items. That is the same as tap to click.01:25
crimson_kingThanks, it worked now. I had tried this earlier today and tapping wasn't working. Maybe I forgot to click Apply? Maybe...01:28
crimson_kingThe description of this option makes it sound like it is referring to single-click activates items01:29
crimson_kinglike tapping on a folder and it opens with a single click01:29
kc2bezIt is strangely worded. I think we submitted a bug report on that upstream.01:30
crimson_kingnice. do you know anything about my first question? I'd like featherpad to insert spaces instead of tab characters when I press TAB01:31
kc2bezNo I don't off the top of my head.01:31
kc2bezIt looks like you can only limit it to 2 spaces. The default is 4.01:32
crimson_kingActually, I want it to work like Gedit and Mousepad do. When I press TAB, it will add a specified number of spaces. Like 2, 4, 8 spaces for each TAB press01:37
kc2bezI use vim so I am a bit unfamiliar. I guess if you set it to 2 you would get 2 spaces every time you hit tab.01:42
crimson_kingCurrently, it is set to 2. But instead of 2 spaces, I get a TAB character that is 2 spaces long. But it is still a TAB character.01:45
kc2bezIt looks like ctrl TAB does what you want crimson_king01:55
crimson_kingI found the shortcut Control + TAB in the Lubuntu manual. It does what I expect TAB to do. Maybe I can remap this shortcut to a single TAB press.01:55
crimson_kingYeah, we found it at the same time hehe01:56
kc2bezWe were on the same page, literally. :)01:56

rm_1984how do I request for assistance. I'm missing my Menu Bar02:16
kc2bezDo you have a panel at all?02:17
rm_1984I have a panel yes, with the start button. But not the proper one with system tray, clock, etc02:17
kc2bezYou can right click on the panel to configure it.02:19
rm_1984adding widgets?02:21
kc2bezYes. The clock, system tray and whatnot are widgets.02:21
crimson_kingSpeaking about widgets, how do I add new launchers to the Quick Launcher widget?02:22
kc2bezYou can drag and drop from the menu.02:22
crimson_kingnevermind, i made it by dragging from the menu to the widget02:22
kc2bezPlacement can be tricky though.02:23
rm_1984ok, currently doing that. But was wondering if theres a way to retrieve the original one instead of "making up" one02:24
kc2bezI am not too sure about that. There should be a default config that could be copied over. I am not currently at my computer so I don't have it handy.02:27
rm_1984ok. Thanks any way02:34

AryaHello, I need some help. I have PowerMac G5 64 bit. I want to put Lubuntu on it but I'm having trouble finding a version of Lubuntu under 700MB so I can actually burn a ISO disc to install. I was thinking since Lubuntu version 16.04 is 900MB, that perhaps the 14.04 version might be less MB. But I have not found that version anywhere. Anyway, any he19:51
Aryalp would be appreciated.\19:51
tewardArya: 14.04 is past End of LIfe and not supported, as such you can't get an Lubuntu 14.04 installer disk19:52
tewardyou would either need to get a USB set up to 'boot' the system to, or use a DVD, if neither option works you might be a little bit out of luck here.19:53
AryaHmm, I'm not sure if I put the ISO on a USB for version 16.04 if it will install. My whole goal is to get a version on this mac and then upgrade to a newer version. I don't want this powermac to just become a paperweight.19:53
AryaYeah that's what I'm thinking. It just been so frustrating with this mac already. I'm gonna try the USB install. Thank you though.19:54
