[00:32] z! [00:34] ¿ö? [00:39] æ [00:51] How do I tell featherpad to insert spaces instead of tabs? [01:18] How to enable touchpad tap to click then? On LXQt... [01:18] no way through GUI? [01:19] crimson_king: Which version of Lubuntu? [01:22] 19.04 [01:23] From the menu click on Preferences --> LXQt settings --> Keyboard and Mouse [01:23] On the left column at the bottom is Mouse and Touchpad. [01:25] On the mouse and touchpad screen you should see single click to activate items. That is the same as tap to click. [01:28] Thanks, it worked now. I had tried this earlier today and tapping wasn't working. Maybe I forgot to click Apply? Maybe... [01:29] The description of this option makes it sound like it is referring to single-click activates items [01:29] like tapping on a folder and it opens with a single click [01:30] It is strangely worded. I think we submitted a bug report on that upstream. [01:31] nice. do you know anything about my first question? I'd like featherpad to insert spaces instead of tab characters when I press TAB [01:31] No I don't off the top of my head. [01:32] It looks like you can only limit it to 2 spaces. The default is 4. [01:37] Actually, I want it to work like Gedit and Mousepad do. When I press TAB, it will add a specified number of spaces. Like 2, 4, 8 spaces for each TAB press [01:42] I use vim so I am a bit unfamiliar. I guess if you set it to 2 you would get 2 spaces every time you hit tab. [01:45] Currently, it is set to 2. But instead of 2 spaces, I get a TAB character that is 2 spaces long. But it is still a TAB character. [01:55] It looks like ctrl TAB does what you want crimson_king [01:55] I found the shortcut Control + TAB in the Lubuntu manual. It does what I expect TAB to do. Maybe I can remap this shortcut to a single TAB press. [01:56] Yeah, we found it at the same time hehe [01:56] We were on the same page, literally. :) [02:14] Hi, how do I request for assistance ? === rm_ is now known as rm_1984 [02:16] hi [02:16] how do I request for assistance. I'm missing my Menu Bar [02:17] Do you have a panel at all? [02:17] I have a panel yes, with the start button. But not the proper one with system tray, clock, etc [02:19] You can right click on the panel to configure it. [02:21] adding widgets? [02:21] Yes. The clock, system tray and whatnot are widgets. [02:22] Speaking about widgets, how do I add new launchers to the Quick Launcher widget? [02:22] You can drag and drop from the menu. [02:22] nevermind, i made it by dragging from the menu to the widget [02:23] Placement can be tricky though. [02:24] ok, currently doing that. But was wondering if theres a way to retrieve the original one instead of "making up" one [02:27] I am not too sure about that. There should be a default config that could be copied over. I am not currently at my computer so I don't have it handy. [02:34] ok. Thanks any way [03:26] @kc2bez ctrl+tab in featherpad does the trick crimson_king [03:26] o, yo already got that === georgios is now known as Guest98773 === stefan_ is now known as Sorcery [10:57] Hey! [10:57] Could someone say me what's the default value in /etc/X11/default-display-manager ? [10:58] *tell [10:59] I changed it and now it doesn't work :p [10:59] /usr/sbin/lightdm [10:59] for me on ubuntu [11:00] That would be for 18.04^ [11:01] For 18.10 and up you want `/usr/sbin/sddm === lubuntu is now known as Guest53570 [19:51] Hello, I need some help. I have PowerMac G5 64 bit. I want to put Lubuntu on it but I'm having trouble finding a version of Lubuntu under 700MB so I can actually burn a ISO disc to install. I was thinking since Lubuntu version 16.04 is 900MB, that perhaps the 14.04 version might be less MB. But I have not found that version anywhere. Anyway, any he [19:51] lp would be appreciated.\ [19:52] Arya: 14.04 is past End of LIfe and not supported, as such you can't get an Lubuntu 14.04 installer disk [19:53] you would either need to get a USB set up to 'boot' the system to, or use a DVD, if neither option works you might be a little bit out of luck here. [19:53] Hmm, I'm not sure if I put the ISO on a USB for version 16.04 if it will install. My whole goal is to get a version on this mac and then upgrade to a newer version. I don't want this powermac to just become a paperweight. [19:54] Yeah that's what I'm thinking. It just been so frustrating with this mac already. I'm gonna try the USB install. Thank you though. === guiverc2 is now known as guiverc
