[13:03] <joyce72> I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I did notice that there were many failures during the boot sequence, and I am analyzing the logs right now

[13:09] <joyce72> I'm also seeing a bunch of: "Failed to run <name> task: read only file system
[13:15] <alkisg> joyce72: you can't fsck from a running system; use the initramfs or a live cd
[13:15] <alkisg> mount -o remount,rw / => makes it writeable, IF it's ok
[13:16] <joyce72> alkisg: I meant to say that I have done it from the recovery console, which didn't solve the issue

[19:51] <joyce72> Seems like my fstab file had issues, for some reason
[19:53] <joyce72> so I edited it by hand to use the UUID of the drive instead of /dev/sda1/ in the entry
[19:53] <joyce72> and now it boots fine
[19:53] <joyce72> fsck turned out clean also
