[02:06] Ubuntu 19.04 is pretty solid, and work on Ubuntu 19.10 and plans for 20.04 LTS are proceeding at speed. [02:06] #topic Agenda [02:06] There is no agenda for tonight's meeting. [02:06] #topic Other business [02:06] Is there any other business for tonight? [02:12] Okay, then that will wrap up this meeting for July. [02:12] Our next meeting will be on August 18th. [02:12] #endmeeting === ChanServ changed the topic of #ubuntu-us-ca to: https://ubuntu-california.org (has links to mailing list, forum, and more!) | Next Meeting: Sunday, August 18th, at 7:00pm PDT (UTC -7:00) This channel is logged at irclogs.ubuntu.com | We have an unlogged channel at #ubuntu-us-ca-offtopic [02:13] * aidian waves [02:13] internet burp made me miss it apparently! [02:13] * nhaines waves back. [02:13] just upgraded to gigabit cable and a new modem, still a bit unstable [02:14] is gnome 3 still the flagship DE in 20.04? [02:15] Yup. that's unlikely to change soon. [02:23] i thought gnome 3 development was slowing [02:24] I don't pay much attention. I stuck with Unity. [02:24] i thought unity was removed [02:24] It wasn't. [02:28] Anyone using a version of Ubuntu that doesn't ship with Unity can run 'sudo apt install ubuntu-unity-desktop unity-session' and enjoy a first-class interface. [02:32] unity-session is a dependency of ubuntu-unity-desktop [02:42] I've had better luck specifying both. === lynorian_ is now known as lynorian
