didrocksargh, due to AC?08:05
didrocksor just traditional conference-flu?08:05
Laneyhmm not so much AC around08:06
Laneyprobably a Debian based infection :P08:06

* didrocks puzzled about hardening-no-pi on default go build, without any helper tweaked…08:56
didrocksinteresting, if you add the build-dep on golang-go explicitely (which was already installed), the pie issue goes out. I've never seen an helper depending on the build-depends list directly (like, reading it)09:04

WimpressOK, thanks.11:21
WimpressI am not BTW.11:21
WimpressLaney: Are you standing in for Seb this week?11:21
WimpressI've found an issue with 18.04.2/3, HWE and nvidia 430 drivers. Just about to send and email and what to know who on desktop (other than Will and J_ibel) should get it.11:22
Laneyin what sense?11:22
LaneyI mean not officially, but feel free to copy me11:23
Laneyand if it's nvidia then presumably tseliot too ;>11:23

Laneygood point though, who wants to run the team meeting later?11:25
Laneyall the teachers are away11:25
Laney(i assume)11:25
LaneyWimpress: If it's a bug, should be filed and on the ISO tracker too so the people managing the point release can see it11:37
LaneyNot that I can see a .3 milestone there...11:38

didrocksclobrano: excellent! Hope you will enjoy GUADEC :)12:43
clobranodidrocks: I'm sure I will12:44
sil2100Laney: Adam is the main driver for .3 if anything, let me see if I have teh powers to create the milestone13:12
sil2100(I assume I do not)13:12
sil2100Laney: ah, you meant the QA tracker milestone? Since I see a .3 milestone on LP if anything13:19
Laneysil2100: yeah that13:31
LaneyI mean the release is supposed to be in 2 days, but this implies that maybe it won't be?13:31
Laneyguess we should have a meeting or something13:32
sil2100Laney: yeah, it won't, there's a week-slip for .313:32
sil2100Laney: Adam pushed it a week later to give the kernel guys more time to get things ready13:32
sil2100hm, but indeed, that wasn't really announced anywhere13:33
Laneyheh13:33
Laneyk, good idea to do that :-)13:34

bittinWhat is your meetings about?18:32
bittinif you still have them?18:33
fabiomirmarHowdy Desktop team. I'm trying to export /var/lib from a liveCD (Ubuntu 18.04 Desktop) using NFS, but I get the message "exportfs: /var/lib does not support NFS export". This comes from the squashfs from the livecd... From my investigation, squashfs should be able to be NFS exported, unless -no-exports is used during mksquashfs. How can I tell if Ubuntu uses it during mksquashfs in its ISO? Any other pointers on18:46
fabiomirmarhow to accomplish the NFS Export of that filesystem?18:46
willcookeHi fabiomirmar, this channel is mainly for Ubuntu developers to talk to each other.  For support questions you would have more luck asking in #ubuntu18:50
fabiomirmarwillcooke: ack. I'll give it a try. Thanks!18:50
willcookefabiomirmar, np, good luck!18:50
immuhello mr willcooke18:52

sarnoldfabiomirmar: try strings -a | grep export  or strings -a | grep mksquash  or similar -- *maybe* it encodes the command line into the image itself?18:54
immuwhat kernel version are they tracking for 19.10 willcooke18:56
fabiomirmarsarnold: thanks. I just used "unsquashfs -s filesystem.squashfs" and I can see "Filesystem is exportable via NFS" which makes me even more confusing as why I'm not able to export that18:58
willcookeimmu, 5.2 I think18:59
immuany chance that 5.3 could be targetted? we still do have time before kernel freeze?19:11
willcookeimmu, #ubuntu-kernel is the right place to ask about that19:14
immusure mr willcooke19:14
