[15:59] ¿ [16:00] Do you have an eoan machine to test? [16:00] vm [16:02] ok, in that machine you can install kbackup, then you can execute it and then you can press "Help -> Manual" [16:02] it's going to say the manual is not found, so why is that? [16:03] The is no 'Manual' option under help [16:03] wat [16:04] "Kbackup Manual" or something like that? [16:04] or just press F1 [16:05] handbook? [16:05] or handbook, yeah [16:05] sorry, I have the thing in Spanish XD [16:05] ok, so it will claim the manual/handbook doesn't exist [16:06] yes [16:06] but it does [16:06] if you do dpkg -L you will find some *.docbook.gz files [16:07] * RikMills nods [16:08] so they don't work, they should be simply *.docbook, otherwise the KDE thing doesn't understand them [16:08] so let me explain why this happens and how to fix it [16:08] open the debian/rules of kbackup [16:09] you will see there is no "--with kf5" parameter [16:09] lol [16:09] you used to have it, so you got it right, debian got it wrong [16:10] must have missed that [16:10] ok. will sort in a bit [16:11] https://salsa.debian.org/qt-kde-team/pkg-kde-tools/blob/master/perllib/Debian/Debhelper/Sequence/kf5.pm [16:12] sgclark: ^^ [16:12] ↑ the above thing adds the needed parameters to dh_compress to avoid the *.docbook compression [16:12] yeah [16:13] so better to not skip the use of the '--with kf5' for this kind of packages [16:14] * RikMills nods [16:15] needless to say there could be other things wrong because of the lack of "--with kf5", but I just selected one to prove my point [16:15] "debian syncs are always great" [16:15] * santa_ trolls [16:17] test build of the fix: https://launchpad.net/~panfaust/+archive/ubuntu/kde-test-good [16:18] have to go for now. will look later. thanks [16:18] allright, thanks for your time
