xubuntu72wif I download the latest daily image and update via "sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade" will I receive regular OS updates that are in line with the next stable release?00:09
xubuntu72wbasically I want to use xfce 4.14 but only way to do that would be to use the latest iso00:10
xubuntu72whow unstable is the daily image anyway? do people use it as their main OS?00:11
Unit193You should pretty much end up with something similar to what gets released if you keep updating, yeah.  As far as I know it's stable enough, we're past feature freeze.  With regards to getting 4.14 in older releases, there *is* the xubuntu-dev/staging ppa.00:25
xubuntu72wthanks00:32
xubuntu72wI'll stick with the live image in that case00:32

friendlyGoathow would i go about fixing my lease issue04:15
well_laid_lawnfriendlyGoat:  if you set a static ip address you won't need a daemon running to try and get you an ip address04:20
well_laid_lawnthat error will go if you don't run dhcpcd and you'll still be on the net04:21
well_laid_lawnwith the static ip04:21
