[02:23] hey robert_ancell [02:23] kenvandine, hi! [02:23] robert_ancell: mind joining a little early? [02:23] sure [02:51] Morning/evening/something kenvandine and robert_ancell [03:00] Hey duflu [05:34] good morning [05:39] Morning didrocks [05:39] hey duflu [07:13] morning all [07:19] Morning marcustomlinson [07:48] morning duflu and willcooke [07:48] goodly morlode marcustomlinson [07:50] Morning willcooke [07:50] afternoon duflu [08:03] morning [08:03] hey Laney [08:03] Hi Laney [08:12] hi marcustomlinson duflu [09:54] Laney: hey [09:55] Laney: to reseed duplicity, or not to reseed? =) [09:55] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/swift/+bug/1829862 [09:55] Launchpad bug 1829862 in duplicity (Ubuntu) "[FFe] re-seeding demoted packages with python3 support" [Undecided,New] [09:55] hi xnox [09:55] sorry I read your message [09:55] and then ... [09:56] time passed ... [09:56] and you prorouged irc ?! =) [09:56] * Laney filibusters [09:56] Laney: i am happy to do the merge proposal and send it for the review, just not sure if it should be installed by default, or simply be in supported. [09:57] put it back where it was, supported wasn't it? [09:57] Laney: and like if we need to undo the dynamic on the fly installation of it. [09:57] Laney: ok. [09:57] wait [09:57] was this because of the deja-dup on demand thing? [09:58] which was only because it was py2 wasn't it? [09:58] so maybe deja-dup recommends duplicity is better? [09:58] yes [09:59] all that is better, yes. [09:59] # duplicity still depends on Python2 which is unwanted in the default install [09:59] # but Deja Dup can install duplicity dynamically [09:59] override_dh_gencontrol: [09:59] ifneq ($(shell dpkg-vendor --query vendor),Ubuntu) [09:59] dh_gencontrol -- -Vduplicity:Depends='duplicity (>= 0.7.14)' [09:59] else [09:59] dh_gencontrol -- -Vduplicity:Suggests='duplicity (>= 0.7.14)' [09:59] endif [09:59] all of that needs purging in debian! [10:00] sounds good [10:11] Laney: uploaded to ubuntu + MR on salsa https://salsa.debian.org/gnome-team/deja-dup/merge_requests/1 [10:11] GNOME issue (Merge request) 1 in deja-dup "duplicity is ported to python3 and shipped in Ubuntu, make it a hard depends..." [Opened] [10:12] xnox: cheers, feel free to upload to unstable if you want [10:14] Laney: i'm not in the gnome team, so can't push to the salsa git repo. [10:14] so nah =) [10:15] I'll execute a git push for you if you want [10:56] Hey all 0/ [11:00] willcooke, seb's ticket on headerbar visibility turned into "drop dark headerbar" in the last days. I think I'm the the last one desiring to keep it, but I understand there are also some good reasons for this change. Whenever you've got time, could you drop your thoughts about it? [11:00] I prefer to be in sync with the desktop team if we end up doing this [11:00] https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru/issues/1477 ^ [11:00] ubuntu issue 1477 in yaru "The headerbar buttons lack of contrast compared to the background" [Design, Open] [11:02] See also this https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/no-light-theme-in-recent-ubuntu/12144/29 [11:23] hey! just found a typo in /usr/share/session-migration/scripts/01_migrate_from_keyring on bionic! [11:24] worth a fix? [11:52] Laney: slight flaw in my plan, because the new duplicity is stuck in -proposed due to power ftbfs =/ [11:55] :( [11:57] seems to be some changes in bzr(!!!), not sure if any of them are relevant or if seb128 forwarded the failure [12:21] Hi cyphermox, Looks like the debdiff I prepared for bug #1800794 makes a difference, after all, and fixes the immediate problem as it was originally expressed in the bug report. OTOH, the TCL dispatcher - unlike the C dispatcher - handles the OP's device without custom configuration, so there is an issue left. [12:21] How do we proceed? Are you able to make some conclusion from the log files the OP submitted? [12:21] Is TCL an option, after all? [12:21] Or should we be content with uploading the debdiff for now? [12:21] bug 1800794 in usb-modeswitch (Ubuntu) "usb-modeswitch can't apply Configuration=0 to Snapdragon X12 LTE" [Medium,In progress] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1800794 [12:29] tkamppeter: hey, there's a new network-manager 1.20.2 out which contains that fixed I asked for [12:29] I was just looking to review it for you and saw that [12:29] mbiebl has uploaded it to debian too, what do you think about merging instead? [13:30] hello everyone~ Previously running base ubuntu install with 16lts. Worked flawlessly.... Performed fresh install of 18lts been staying up to date with updates. However system randomly just completely hangs the gui. switch to console and I can login, run commands etc.... however nothing unlocks gui until I reboot. Anyone else have this issue? [13:50] gmalsack, not something I've seen. You might want to try in #ubuntu though, they will be able to give you some help with working out whats going on [14:55] Laney, would be godd idea. [14:57] Laney, let us merge it. [14:57] 🎸🀘 [14:58] Laney, could you do it as I am leaving for Plumbers on Sunday. [14:58] maybe next week [15:06] OK, at least I know now why my patch did not get uploaded. [15:06] Laneythanks. [15:06] thaney [15:07] 🐜 [15:07] or rather, lanks [16:03] willcooke, thanks [16:08] happy weekend all, ttl === pstolowski is now known as pstolowski|afk
