EickmeyerOvenWerks: That's amazing. I'm in love with it already.02:57
OvenWerksThe actual foldback buses and foldback sends, I put in almost a year ago now. They have always been accessable from OSC but not from the GUI. I realized that before 6.0 was released I should make a GUI. SOme people have just used aux sends and buses before03:08
OvenWerksbut the aux sends quickly fill up the processor box and it becomes hard to find the actual processors like eq and comp and stuff. Then there are the extra buses03:09
OvenWerksEickmeyer: so all the sends are hidden in channels and there is a special foldback strip that shows one  at a time of the foldback buses with the send level that feed it.03:11
EickmeyerOh, that's really cool. Definitely keeps the strip clutter down, if that's the case.03:12
OvenWerksEickmeyer: it looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/Xqm4gLy.png03:12
OvenWerksThe show sends still allows the faders of the strips where the sends are really located to be used to set levels.03:13
OvenWerksOne can select all the channels they want to go to a fold back and then add them with one click.03:14
EickmeyerSo, basically, it can be used as a full-fledged monitor mixer now with multiple monitor sends while keeping down the clutter.03:14
EickmeyerAs opposed to only having one monitor send.03:14
OvenWerksas a starting point for mixing the aux they can all be set to the same level as the fader too.03:15
EickmeyerThat's stinkin' awesome. Great work!03:15
OvenWerksYes it is meant specifically for performance monitors for the artists03:15
OvenWerksWith a wifi hub it is possible for the artists to control their own levels from their smart phone03:16
OvenWerksusing osc which is where the whole thing started03:16
OvenWerksThe foldback bus can be optionally stereo so the performaer can have their own voice in one ear and everything else in the other.03:18
EickmeyerYep. Behringer has some apps for this very thing, but I think they're proprietary and not OSC.03:18
OvenWerkswhere you see the send labels, on stereo foldbacks there is a pan to the right03:18
EickmeyerThough, there's others.03:19
OvenWerksactually behringer is quite open about the protocol, oen can use either MIDI or OSC03:19
OvenWerkssoundcraft has similar and so does A & H03:20
OvenWerksThe hard part for me was the send button/led/level/pan icon.03:22
OvenWerksremote monitor control is so simple to implement, I don't know why anyone wouldn't add it to their digital mixer03:23
OvenWerksanyway, still lots of work to do. There are some bugs and my method of dealing with long chanel names is not the best. It needs to be hidable and detachable still03:27
OvenWerksI am just thinking that if it is detached... it may as well be like the mixer window and show all the foldback strips at once (well within the window size limits of course)03:28
EickmeyerI agree, Behringer is very open. Their consoles run Linux, but Ultranet is proprietary.03:30
OvenWerksThe audio transport is yes.03:38
OvenWerksEickmeyer: I actually have an OSC document for the X3203:42
OvenWerksTwo actually, an official one and an unofficial one  :)03:44
EickmeyerOh cool! I had no idea they had OSC going on.03:46
OvenWerkshttp://www.ovenwerks.net/paste/X32_OSC_Remote_Protocol.pdf03:48
OvenWerksand http://www.ovenwerks.net/paste/X32-OSC.pdf03:48
OvenWerksI DL both from their website03:49
OvenWerksThey take a bit of reading to figure out and the commands are all multi parameter so something like touchOSC will not work... 03:50
OvenWerksMaybe enough things are for monitor control but feedback could be difficult03:51
OvenWerksmeters get sent as a bundle, all or nothing03:52
OvenWerksEickmeyer: if you are interested in those docs, you should grab them03:55
OvenWerksThey will be gone soon as you do.03:55
EickmeyerI might, but I don't really deal with the X-series anymore.03:55
EickmeyerThough, probably not a bad idea.03:55
OvenWerksWell they should probably still be on their website... it seems I have to look harder for them every time.03:56
