=== vim is now known as Guest7344 [00:11] Hi guys! Has anyone else had any trouble setting up an account in Trojita? [00:24] It seems I can get mail, but I can't send one. The message that comes up says that the Sent folder doesn't exist. Do I need to create one in order for it to work? [00:26] try putting INBOX. before Sent in the name [00:26] like INBOX.Sent [00:27] in cofig->imap save sent e-mail [00:27] (or don't save it) [00:27] Ranger5 ^ [00:28] Yes, hi, I'm not sure I fully understand? [00:29] you can configure IMAP [00:29] you can save outgoing messages (or not) [00:30] in SMTP tab [00:31] look here https://manual.lubuntu.me/2/2.1/2.1.5/trojita.html?highlight=trojita [00:31] In SMTP tab, Save Outgoing Mail [00:31] Sent Folder Name [00:31] Sometimes instead of just "Sent" you need to put "INBOX.Sent" [00:32] Oh now I get it! okay I'll try that and see if it works. Thanks very much for your help(y) (y) [11:10] Here's an issue: I'm trying to install 'kvm' on 19.10BETA - 'apt-get install qemu-kvm libvirt-bin virtinst bridge-utils cpu-checker'. I get the error: "E: Package 'libvirt-bin' has no installation candidate". [11:22] libvirt-bin package doesn't exist in eon repositories for ubuntu [11:29] I had KVM running on Lubuntu 18.10. I must have installed it from separate deb packages. [11:39] The libvert-bin package was dropped in 18.10 and split into two parts. https://askubuntu.com/questions/1089753/kvm-qemu-installation-issue-18-10 [11:40] Simply 'apt install qemu-kvm' seems to install the proper dependentcies. [11:41] Good to know, thanks. [11:41] I'll spin up a Windows 10 instance later today and report back. [15:12] hi. can i move X session from tty7 to tty4 ? [18:45] hello [18:45] i have a little problem with lubuntu 19.04 [18:46] pavucontrol can`t connect to pulseaudio [18:46] i removed alsa and nothing happened [18:46] not even across a reboot? [18:46] oh i wouldn't remove alsa [18:47] wxl, on live cd and after install [18:47] what about the question about reboots? [18:48] reboots don`t help [18:48] at least assuming that you didn't remove alsa first because that's not going to help you at all [18:48] i will install clean lubuntu again [18:48] really pulseaudio is rarely used as s sound server unto itself [18:48] (i mean across all linux distributions) [18:49] most often, it's paired with alsa or oss [18:49] i tried pulseaudio -D but deamon is not starting [18:49] in our case, oss [18:49] it should just start on its own [18:49] i've never seen a problem with this ever [18:49] so either you have some weird hardware that is causing some ridiculous problem [18:50] after reboot audio is dead [18:50] or you didn't check the hashes on the image [18:50] but on xubuntu works [18:50] there's ultimately no difference between xubuntu and lubuntu in terms of the sound server [18:50] i will install fresh lubuntu [18:51] and don`t touch nothing [18:51] check the hashes of the image [18:51] that would be the first thing to do [18:51] if you've got a bad image, you could install all day long and run into problems [18:51] wxl, image is "isorespined" [18:51] your what hurts? [18:52] this is atom pc tablet with 64 bit os but 32 bit uefi [18:52] oic hacked iso [18:52] well ymmv, can't help you with it :/ [18:52] http://linuxiumcomau.blogspot.com/2017/06/customizing-ubuntu-isos-documentation.html [18:53] this script adds atom/touchscreen/wifi/bt support to iso image [18:53] and 32 bit uefi bootloader [18:54] i'd consult with the developers of the script for help [18:55] ok, i will download iso again and "respin" it again [18:56] this script worked with xubuntu like a charm [18:56] touchscreen/bt/wifi/sound worked out of box ;) [18:57] perhaps it does some hacky weirdness that doesn't work with lubuntu [18:57] i mean the two of us use a different installer, so that's a potential thing [18:57] i don't know [18:57] all i know is we can't really support it [18:58] how can i check in terminal where is the problem? [18:58] all the logs are in /var/log [18:59] or you can use journalctl since we're using systemd [19:02] i am cooking iso again [19:03] or maybe i should throw away this tablet ... [19:06] maybe try lfs or some other distro that specifically is meant to work with it [19:06] it leaved factory with win 8.1 with bing! [19:07] i bet it did === poweruser is now known as Guest11889 [19:44] wxl, i will try other trick [19:45] i will add only 32 bit uefi bootloader [19:45] without drivers [20:03] wxl, sound is working ;)
