GargoyleHi snappy peeps!21:28
GargoyleI've got an issue with apparmor - not directly related to snaps, but I wonder if some of you are familiar enough to help.21:28
GargoyleThe /etc/apparmor.d/abstractions/mysql is listed as being in the main apparmor package (https://packages.ubuntu.com/eoan/amd64/apparmor/filelist) but it's missing on my system and re-installing apparmor is not putting it into place.21:30
GargoyleI could manually copy it from unpacking the .deb - but I'd like to figure out why apparmor is not installing it21:31
cjwatsonGargoyle: you'll need to pass the --force-confmiss option to dpkg22:18
cjwatsonGargoyle: by default it considers removing a conffile (the subcategory of configuration files that are done by shipping them directly in .debs and having dpkg manage them) to be a sysadmin choice that should be respected unless told otherwise22:18
Gargoyleahh. I see.22:20
GargoyleSo somewhere along the way I made the choice to remove that file (even if I didn't mean to) and apt/dpkg is respecting that "choice"?22:20
cjwatsonSounds like it22:21
GargoyleSo "dpkg -i temp/apparmor_2.13.3-5ubuntu1_amd64.deb --force-confmiss" would be the fix (I have downloaded the .dep using "apt download apparmor")22:22
