lordcirthPSA: Using zsync to download the updated ISO saves a lot of bandwidth for both sides.14:20
tomreynyes, zsync is awesome. :)14:53
OerHekszsync needs a previous iso ?14:54
lordcirthYes, but many of us have been zsyncing the daily ISO14:59
lordcirthOr even a 19.04 ISO can save a fair chunk14:59
lordcirthThe daily from last week was a 91% match15:00

=== dax changed the topic of #ubuntu+1 to: Welcome to #ubuntu+1, the support channel for pre-release versions of Ubuntu. Pre-release versions are unstable and will probably break your computer. | Current dev version: Focal Fossa (20.04) | Schedule: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FocalFossa/ReleaseSchedule | Daily builds: N/A | For 19.10 support, please visit #ubuntu
daxthat's a lot less N/A than usual for the start of the cycle. I am pleased.17:32
Sbur3I downloaded 19.10 a couple days ago.  I admit that, in my case, not the most intelligent choice.  But I have 7 packages that give a status code 1 so far.  linux-firmware, gosa, linux-image-lowlatency, linuxlowlatency, initramfs-tools, and two kernels.  Will this work oncee the final release comes out totally?  Or do I need to fix something to make them install and configurer correctly?18:14
daxfinal release is out18:16
dax!final18:16
ubottuIf you install a development version of Ubuntu Focal and keep up with package updates, then you will be upgraded to the official release of 20.04 when it comes out. To make sure, type « sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade » in a terminal.18:16
daxuse that command to grab any changed packages18:17
Sbur3dax: But here's the question.  If I type that in, I will get the packages I mentioned completely set up?18:18
daxdunno, i'd try it and if it doesn't help then ask #ubuntu for help with with it18:20
Sbur3dax: Ok18:20
daxwell, what i'd actually do is reinstall with a release ISO 'cause i don't use RC ISOs in production, but i'm assuming you don't want to do that18:20
daxbut yeah, now that it's out it's supported in #ubuntu18:21
Sbur3dax: I'm a relative noob, so I don't want to do something too complicated or risky.18:21
Sbur3dax: I'm moving back to ubuntu. Thx18:22
Piciwhats a fossa?19:33
