[03:17] ty Bashing-om [03:18] thank Bashing, thats good news, although I will most likely use 5.4rc with that release [08:24] hey [08:24] is it out [08:24] !isitout [08:24] Not yet! [08:25] !isitout [08:25] !isitout [09:59] hey !:D [09:59] !isitout [09:59] Not yet! [10:01] ubuking: you can also keep reloading the mailing list archive, might be easier. [10:01] url? [10:01] tomreyn [10:02] ubuking: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-announce/ [10:03] there are last minute ISO rebuilds to be done and tested, so some hrs yet [10:04] thanks [10:04] Oh Insider news [10:04] iso respin ? due to a error ? failure ? [10:07] connecting to wireless in the installer broke if you go straight to install instead of the live session [10:07] ah thanks [10:08] are you a DE`V? [10:08] i wonder why linux distros are so fragile and break so easily [10:09] ubuking: Kubuntu developer and Ubuntu MOTU [10:09] COol!! [10:09] ubuntu is BEST RikMills [10:10] evng: same reason they can be fixed again quickly ;) [10:10] but i can complain About Gewrman support channel RikMills [10:10] some are very bad !!! [10:35] just do-release-update -d [10:35] :P [10:45] dupondje: still around 7 hours left until stable 19.10 ? [10:48] no reason to wait for a dist-upgrade :D [12:24] hey!!!!! [12:24] !isitout [12:24] Not yet! [14:20] PSA: Using zsync to download the updated ISO saves a lot of bandwidth for both sides. [14:53] yes, zsync is awesome. :) [14:54] zsync needs a previous iso ? [14:59] Yes, but many of us have been zsyncing the daily ISO [14:59] Or even a 19.04 ISO can save a fair chunk [15:00] The daily from last week was a 91% match === lotus|i5 is now known as lotuspsychje === dax changed the topic of #ubuntu+1 to: Welcome to #ubuntu+1, the support channel for pre-release versions of Ubuntu. Pre-release versions are unstable and will probably break your computer. | Current dev version: Focal Fossa (20.04) | Schedule: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FocalFossa/ReleaseSchedule | Daily builds: N/A | For 19.10 support, please visit #ubuntu [17:32] that's a lot less N/A than usual for the start of the cycle. I am pleased. [18:14] I downloaded 19.10 a couple days ago. I admit that, in my case, not the most intelligent choice. But I have 7 packages that give a status code 1 so far. linux-firmware, gosa, linux-image-lowlatency, linuxlowlatency, initramfs-tools, and two kernels. Will this work oncee the final release comes out totally? Or do I need to fix something to make them install and configurer correctly? [18:16] final release is out [18:16] !final [18:16] If you install a development version of Ubuntu Focal and keep up with package updates, then you will be upgraded to the official release of 20.04 when it comes out. To make sure, type « sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade » in a terminal. [18:17] use that command to grab any changed packages [18:18] dax: But here's the question. If I type that in, I will get the packages I mentioned completely set up? [18:20] dunno, i'd try it and if it doesn't help then ask #ubuntu for help with with it [18:20] dax: Ok [18:20] well, what i'd actually do is reinstall with a release ISO 'cause i don't use RC ISOs in production, but i'm assuming you don't want to do that [18:21] but yeah, now that it's out it's supported in #ubuntu [18:21] dax: I'm a relative noob, so I don't want to do something too complicated or risky. [18:22] dax: I'm moving back to ubuntu. Thx [19:33] whats a fossa? [19:34] cat [19:34] sort of [19:34] OerHeks: you explain plz [19:34] it is a cat from madagascar [19:34] speciality, he hides his butthole :-D [19:35] lol [19:36] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fossa_(animal)#Etymology [19:36] such a weird cat [19:38] pretty fitting, since one of ubuntu's goals is to hide all the weird stuff in Linux for end-users [19:38] * dax runs [19:38] "hidden backdoor" [19:38] lol dax [19:38] * OerHeks wanders off to the dishes [21:34] congrats everyone on the release
