[02:02] <nhaines> We've had meetings with contacts at Canonical and are reaching out to potential sponsors.

[02:04] <nhaines> Ubuntu 19.10 was released this Thursday!

[02:05] <nhaines> Development focus for Ubuntu has now shifted to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, the "Focal Fossa" release.  This will be the second LTS after the transition from Unity to GNOME Shell and should be really rock solid.
[02:06] <kain_> Looking forward to 20.04 LTS :D
[02:06] <gmulak> Me also.  I am loving 19.04.
[02:06] <nhaines> But don't worry, the release is on April 23rd, so there's plenty of time left for 16.04 LTS and 18.04 LTS installations!  (But keep your updates current!)
[02:07] <kain_> at work we still use 16.04. I think a jump to 20.04 would be great =3
[02:07] <nhaines> I haven't upgraded to 19.10 yet because the transition with Unity wasn't good a few weeks ago.  But it's on the schedule for the end of the month.
[02:07] <nhaines> Ubuntu 16.04 LTS will have maintenance support for a year after 20.04 LTS, so with some early planning there's plenty of time for a transition.  :)

[02:13] <nhaines> I'm not sure how many Ubuntu Hours are still going on, but one in Tustin would be a great idea.
[02:14] <nhaines> If you want to talk about my experience running the Lake Forest one, we'll do that later.

[02:14] <gmulak> I just can't do it by myself I don't think.
[02:14] <gmulak> We meet at a coffee shop and install and discuss Ubuntu.
[02:14] <nhaines> Ubuntu Hour is when volunteers meet on a regular schedule to be somewhere for an hour to just chat about Ubuntu.
[02:14] <gmulak> It's really fun.
[02:15] <nhaines> That lets curious people drop by and see what Ubuntu's all about, or ask questions, since half the trick is knowing where to start.
[02:15] <gmulak> You have a great one in the Berkley area.
[02:15] <gmulak> I have been several times.
