cpaelzerhiho, did we change tests in Focal to no more install "Recommends" ?08:38
cpaelzerautopkgtests I mean08:38
cpaelzerIf I sapwn an autopkgtest I see a recommends not installed, but if I log into the same env and do "apt install" it consideres recommends - so it is not that there would be a conffile08:39
cpaelzerseems to be special to the autopkgetest package install08:40
cpaelzerfor the deps that come out pf d/t/control08:40

cpaelzertestcase name "daemon"08:43
cpaelzerpackage I wonder behaving differently is "strongswan-charon"08:43
cpaelzerodd, both run today/tonight so they should behave the same right?08:43
cpaelzerlocally the issue reproduces with old and new (test ppa) binaries08:44
cpaelzerthe fix for this case is clear, it should be a harder dependency anyway - but I wonder what I'm missing on those two test excutions to make them behave so differently08:44
cpaelzerhmm, is something going on with the builders atm, there are plenty free ones but it started to get (a small) queue10:26
cpaelzercjwatson: wgrant: Laney: highlighting you just because you all usually know about the status of the builders ^^10:28
cpaelzernothing urgent at all, just wondering10:28
cpaelzerFYI: builders picked things up - so things seem to work (although at a slight delay maybe?)10:40
cjwatsoncpaelzer: That happens sometimes.  Nothing sinister AFAICS; there was a batch of language pack updates which usually cause a brief spike.10:52
cjwatsoncpaelzer: Also, small queue reported on /builders even though there are free builders means private packages waiting for publication before they can build.10:53
cjwatsoncpaelzer: Nothing you need to worry about.10:53
cpaelzergreat, good to know - thanks cjwatson11:22

The_LoudSpeakerUnit193: I just saw the patch. It says it conditionally uses dm-tool or gdmflexiserver. The problem is, we don't have dm-tool. It comes with lightdm afaik. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't see dm-tool with sddm. Nor do I see gdmflexiserver.14:19
The_LoudSpeakerSorry for late reply. irssinotifier didn't start again on reboot.14:20
Unit193I don't know sddm, if there's a good way to detect use and a tool in sddm to do the same, add it to the wrapper in Debian and then start using it.  That way everyone benefits.14:23
The_LoudSpeakerYup! Running dm-tool -v on Elementary OS gives it as lightdm 1.26.014:23
The_LoudSpeakerOkay. I will add it to wrapper and then use it once I find it.14:24
The_LoudSpeakerI asked #sddm those folks said there's a dbus we can use. I am trying to find out exactly which one.14:24
Unit193There's "support" for kdm in there, it seems the KDE/etc people don't care too much about it. :P14:24
The_LoudSpeakerKde doesn't use screensaver. I pinged them once. I will ping again. :)14:26
The_LoudSpeaker*xscreensaver14:26
Unit193Heh, certainly not, KDM is long gone from what I know. :P14:33

vorlondoko: fwiw your py2-d-u-diff.sh seems to truncate some things (or else the report its pulling from does), software-center-aptdaemon-plugins is truncated as software-center-aptdaemon-20:08
