EickmeyerTrying to figure out the best way to approach this in the Ubuntu Studio seed. Looks like we're seeding gvfs-fuse, which pulls-in fuse, but then something else is pulling-in fuse3.18:31
Eickmeyerfuse3 provides fuse, but also breaks fuse, causing our iso to fail to build.18:31
EickmeyerSo, 1) should we seed fuse3, and 2) if so, should that be in the same place as our gvfs-fuse reccommend?18:32
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- New binary: linux-signed-oracle [amd64] (eoan-proposed/main) [5.3.0-1007.8] (core, kernel)18:32
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- Unapproved: accepted apport [source] (eoan-proposed) [2.20.11-0ubuntu8.3]18:43
infinityEickmeyer: fuse is in standard.18:46
Eickmeyerinfinity: Yes, but then what is pullilng-in fuse3?18:47
infinityAnd looks like studio and kubuntu both have the fuse3/fuse problem due to sshfs.18:47
EickmeyerAhhhhh....18:47
EickmeyerSo, it's a problem that I can't direclty fix?18:47
infinityI think we might need to examine of standard needs to move on.  Or if those leaf deps can be relaxed.  The current situation seems suboptimal.18:48
Eickmeyerinfinity: Agreed.18:51
EickmeyerAlso...18:52
Eickmeyervorlon: It seems as though when you updated the Ubuntu Studio seed you updated ubuntustudio-meta but forgot to git push ubuntustudio-meta?18:53
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- Unapproved: accepted apport [source] (disco-proposed) [2.20.10-0ubuntu27.4]18:55
infinityWow, this fuse3/fuse mess is... A mess.18:55
infinityI think they were meant to be coninstallable, but someone seriourly doesn't understand dpkg control fields.  Maybe.18:56
infinityseriously, too.18:56
infinityEickmeyer: I might be able to fix this in Ubuntu and forward to Debian, but need to investigate the actual interaction here before I can decide what flavour of crack the Debian maintainer was on, and how to treat.18:57
infinityBut first, sushi time.18:57
Eickmeyerinfinity: Fair enough. Sushi = GOOOD~18:57
Eickmeyer!18:57

RikMillsinfinity: thanks. I have been pondering the fuse/fuse3 thing for a couple of days. mostly waiting a short while in the hope debian fixed their own c**p before I kicked off. I pondered a couple of sub-optimal things to do this end, but decide not as it would mask the issue and so perhaps make a proper fix less likely soon21:04
