xnoxCarlFK:  i have added in recent releases support for ip= vlan= url=http:///subiquity*.iso which does netboot, download .iso, loopmount, boot.00:41
xnoxCarlFK:  many of the things you are specifying are debconf preseeds00:42
xnoxCarlFK:  and autoinstall=http://*.yaml will go somewhere somehow too00:42
CarlFKxnox: debconf preseeds have a bunch of aliases - if you can use the same strings, that would be handy00:44
CarlFKalso the url= magic that constructs a path from host + namespace + release name00:44
xnoxCarlFK:  our explicit goal is clean design, none of the existing keys are expected to have anywhere near the same meaning or compatibility =)01:01
xnoxCarlFK:  everything should have only one key. And not long form key; d-i preseed type key; cmdline/long-arg; cmdline short arg; alias; legacy option; mega option that combines other options..... as is the case with d-i =))))))01:02
xnoxso, debconf preseed aliases are bad =)01:03
xnoxwhich is not actually debconf, but d-i, despite being backed by debconf.01:03

Odd_Blokebdmurray: We've had a cloud-init bug report that appears to be a blkid (i.e. util-linux) issue in bionic.  I've added a util-linux bug task to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util-linux/+bug/1856560, is that sufficient for it to get onto your triage list?15:26
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1856560 in util-linux (Ubuntu) "ds-identify - stuck in uninterruptible sleep state" [Undecided,New]15:26
bdmurrayOdd_Bloke: the rls-$$-incoming bug tag would get it on our list15:28
Odd_Blokebdmurray: Is it appropriate to do that for any bug, or are there criteria I should consider before using those tags?15:33
bdmurrayOdd_Bloke: Consider whether or not you really want to get it on our list?15:35
Odd_BlokeI will ruminate.15:36

seb128doko, gcc-9 in focal-proposed makes pocl ftbfs, https://launchpadlibrarian.net/456053963/buildlog_ubuntu-focal-amd64.pocl_1.3-9build1_BUILDING.txt.gz17:33
seb128doko, unsure what info would be useful in a bug report?17:33
bdmurrayseb128: reading the upstream bug related to bug 1843262 it seems like the issue is a due to a corrupted database. If there is a way to reset the database i.e. clear it out and build a new one maybe that should be added to the bug report.17:53
