vltHello. I'm using mpv and libavfilter(?) via "--vf perspective=..." to playback videos and specify (and manipulate in realtime) the coordinates of the four corners. This takes a lot of CPU power. Is there a way to push this further down the chain by somehow using 3D video hardware stuff? Where can I find out more?11:56
PLChi' thanks OvenWerks12:45

studiobot<mandyy505> Hi, I Googled "ubuntu help telegram group" and found this group, that's it? I can ask here for help when I have trouble with ubuntu?13:28
tomreynmandyy505: with "ubuntu studio" specifically, which is a recognized ubuntu flavor.13:35
tomreynfor general ubuntu support, i don't thnk you'll find an official telegram group, but you could use IRC.13:36
studiobot<mandyy505> What is IRC?13:38
studiobot<designbybeck> @mandyy505  Internet Relay Chat. One of the oldest forms of communications on the Internet. Used as a Chatroom16:02
studiobot<designbybeck> @mandyy505 you can try Kiwiirc.com for a web browser based IRC client to join Ubuntu IRC as mentioned above if that helps16:03
studiobot<mandyy505> Ok, thanks16:47
studiobot<mandyy505> (Photo, 1280x719) https://i.imgur.com/3I3hZNX.jpg What I do now? :/16:50
tomreynmandyy505: use the "Custom server" dropp down and look for "freenode".17:00
tomreynonce connected, you'd want to join the "#ubuntu" channel. another option is to use https://webchat.freenode.net (i know *this* one works, i'm not sure the kiwi one works)17:01
tomreynor actually, since you seem to be running ubuntu already, you should just install "hexchat" there and use it to connect to network "Freenode", channel "#ubuntu"17:03
studiobot<mandyy505> @tomreyn [<tomreyn> mandyy505: use the "Custom server" dropp down and look for "freenode".], What's the password?17:21
tomreynmandyy505: none needed17:23
studiobot<mandyy505> Ok17:23
tomreynbut edit the nickname to something of your choice17:24
tomreynand something unique, too, not a common name17:24
studiobot<mandyy505> Why?17:24
tomreynbecause its a global namespace, nicknames can be registered, are unique, and others may already have taken yours.17:25
tomreynwhich would then cause you to get forefully renamed17:25
studiobot<mandyy505> Ok17:26
studiobot<mandyy505> What's the purpose of this group?17:26
tomreynubuntu support, at leas ton the #ubuntu channel17:26
tomreynthe purpose of the network should be presented in a longer text when you connect17:26
tomreynto enter the ubuntu channel just tyoe: /join #ubuntu17:27
tomreyn*type17:27
tomreyn(where it says "Send a message...")17:27
studiobot<mandyy505> Ok17:28
tomreynhmm, i guess this won't work, though, you'll be forwarded to #ubuntu-unregged, need to register your nickname first. just follow the instructions given there...17:28
Eickmeyertomreyn: @mandyy505 is typing via Telegram, which is an instant messenger. Studiobot is a Telegram-IRC bridge.19:15
tomreynEickmeyer: i'm aware, thanks19:22
tomreynmy understanding is that mandyy505 is looknig for a generic ubuntu support channel (telegram protocol preferred but not required), not for an ubuntustudio support channel.19:24
Eickmeyertomreyn: That's what I gather as well.19:30
tomreynok :)19:34
