IrcsomeBot2<BJPGameVideosITA> Good morning everyone guys; … TL;DR; … Does somebody know why my laptop screen (just substituted the broken one, works fine in BIOS) cannot remain "enabled" in System Settings? … It automatically folds back to disabled state (I have Fn+F7 key on PC that turns off the backlight, and I tried with and without that on) … Notice: the integrated display is being recognized fine by `xrandr` (LVDS-1) and shows up with no pro11:54
IrcsomeBot2System Settings; also, that would be my third monitor (any limitations on number of active ones? dunno) … Thanks to everyone in advance!!11:54

IrcsomeBot2<Rutvikm> When will 20.04 be released14:04
IrcsomeBot2<Rutvikm> Beta I mean14:05
IrcsomeBot2<Rutvikm> Or Stable ftm14:05
BluesKaj20 stands for the year, 04 stands for the month..simple14:05
IrcsomeBot2<Alessandro> @Rutvikm, on April 23 2020 the final release14:06
IrcsomeBot2<Alessandro> @Rutvikm, the Beta will be released on April 2 2020 as I can read14:08
BluesKajI'm already testing 20.04 Focal with few glitches here and there that are already fixed14:10
BluesKajrunning nicely atm14:10
IrcsomeBot2<Rutvikm> @BluesKaj, Yes, but it might be released earlier14:40
IrcsomeBot2<Rutvikm> Like some smartphone makers who number it as they find convenient14:42
IrcsomeBot2<Rutvikm> @Alessandro, Ok14:42
IrcsomeBot2<Rutvikm> Is 19.10 essentially a pre beta for 20.0414:42
BluesKajRutvikm, 20.04 is already available if you you're an adventurous user, not for on the job use yet, but for testing purposes it fills the bill IMV.14:46
BluesKajand it's an LTS release, so it isn't a pre beta release of 19.10 by any stretch14:49
BluesKajerr 19.10 is not a pre beta release of 20.04 afaik , rather14:50

earrameI just updated about 100 packages and restarted.  Now nothing comes up after the boot loader. I went to recovery mode and did fsck.  it said there is one package that needs downloading, kubuntu-desktop.... When I click y to upload it, it says there is a network issue.  Please help21:33
qihearrame: So are you saying you no longer have network connectivity?21:45
earrameIt seems that I do not, at least from the recovery mode21:47
earrameI used the connect network  tab in the recovery mode and then I was able to run dpkg.  now all packages are installed, but I still get nothing after Grub.22:09
