My monitor still powers down on supposed inactivity. How I should disable it? [10:02] As bonus scrolling is not counted as activity, so reading books is quite flustrating. [10:05] @Mateusz Konieczny, I'd also check you don't have xscreensaver running (to ensure it's not set to blank screen on idle) [10:09] It sound likely. [10:10] BTW, is it just on my computer that Tessellimage (enabled like default) is flashing in way that seems to be dangerous to epileptics? [10:16] you haven't mentioned your release (recently or that I can see), but `flurry` is the current default for Lubuntu (I had to look up what Tessellimage is) [10:19] 19.10, and default was "select random from set of following ones" [10:20] Tesselimage is included and at least on my laptop it is jarringly flashing [10:22] I've got one box that doesn't like the default flurry; but no matter what is chosen, it'll never suit everyone's tastes. As we can easily choose something we like (and works on our own boxes) I'm not fussed. This system gives us pretty good control [11:19] How can I fix dragging files so I do not need to select action manually? [11:23] @Mateusz Konieczny, I'll provide https://manual.lubuntu.me/stable/2/2.4/2.4.4/pcmanfm-qt.html but I'm unsure what you mean [11:29] I select file/folder, then I drag it to subfolder, then I stop holding [11:29] expected: file/folder is moved [11:29] what happens: popup asking me to select whatever I move or copy it [11:36] @Mateusz Konieczny, yeah I get the same, asked if I want copy/move/symlink/cancel on drag; but not with CTRL signifying copy. I can't see option to disable/change in Preferences (but I've never looked for one before). One option could be another File Manager [11:37] FYI: Dolphin does exactly the same as pcmanfm-qt for me. [11:38] Thunar doesn't, moves without query. [11:41] FYI: use of thunar was example; if memory is lean (ie limited), using a File Manager intended for aonther DEsktop will cause extra libs to be in memory thus wasting resources... It's an option, but not a good one if you've limited memory/ram. === BrianG61UK_ is now known as BrianG61UK === hggdh-msft is now known as hggdh === maccraft123 is now known as maccraft [19:30] hey [19:31] need something?
