[14:13] <xubuntu4w> hi! I am a happy Xubuntu user for the last 3 years. I upgraded from 18.04 to 19.10 but the performance is extremely bad. For example switching workspaces takes ~1 sec and mouse freezes completely. How can I gather more information on what is going on? When I do GUI related actions I can see in top that Xorg is ~20-30% CPU, but I guess this is not

[17:47] <xubuntu41w> I'm trying to install Xubuntu on an old Macbook but the live USB isn't being picked up as one of the boot options. However I've got a live USB of Ubuntu (the gnome-based one) and that shows as an EFI boot option. Is there a way to get Xubuntu to boot in EFI mode?
