[03:48] good morning [12:44] affected to bug #1865169 [12:44] bug 1865169 in gnome-shell (Ubuntu) "volume and light not working in Gnome Shell 3.35" [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1865169 [14:41] lotuspsychje I can confirm that bug. Looks like it's well taken care of [14:48] Some time ago I reported here that GEdit's Terminal plugin crashes GEdit in 20.04: bug #1866565. It's been fixed upstream and the developers have made a bugfix release. The fix isn't making its way into downstream Debian and Ubuntu though. Is there a maintainer to contact to notify them of the new upstream release? I don't know how to proceed here [14:48] bug 1866565 in gedit-plugins (Ubuntu) "Enabling the embedded terminal plugin crashes GEdit and subsequently prevents GEdit to start b/c of missing key in GSettings schema" [Medium,Fix committed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1866565 [15:07] nael_n: the #ubuntu-release guys might know more of that, i see seb128 helped you in that bug [15:19] lotuspsychje yeah is it acceptable to contact him directly? Launchpad doesn't have a tagging feature like GitHub or GitLab. I'm not sure what's the proper etiquette for notifying other users [15:19] nael_n: seb128 sits in #ubuntu-release [15:21] could ask him there whats the prefered next step [15:21] Oh OK, I had no idea! I'm omw [15:23] Do you know where every Ubuntu developer is? XD [15:23] nael_n: #ubuntu-release is where alot of devs gather, to push the packages [15:24] there's also #ubuntu-devel [15:24] Alright! Good to know (y)
