tjaaltonahasenack: the mod_ssl patches are now in 2.4.43-1, I hope you'll merge that :)07:36
=== Laney changed the topic of #ubuntu-devel to: Archive: Beta Freeze | 19.10 Released! | Devel of Ubuntu (not support) | Build failures: http://qa.ubuntuwire.com/ftbfs/ | #ubuntu for support and discussion of Trusty-Eoan | If you can't send messages here, authenticate to NickServ first | Patch Pilots:
LaneyIt looks like Ubuntu Kylin are looking for sponsorship for a new package of theirs that they're trying to get into the beta: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/186900708:57
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1869007 in Ubuntu "[needs-packaging] [FFe] qt5-ukui-platformtheme" [Wishlist,New]08:57
Laneyif anyone has some time, that would be a nice thing to look into08:57
juliankIs it just me, or does anyone else have trouble keeping bitlbee and bumblebee separated in their head?09:40
juliankbitl... is an IRC -> other gateway thing, bumbl is an nvidia optimus support09:41
juliankand like their names are far too similar09:41
RikMillsLaney: Looking at the new kylin package now09:46
remix_tjhello, i'd like to know if is still possible have two packages for fortinet vpn network manager plugin on the next release updated. I'm building it manually on ubuntu 18.04, but as far as i can see the release hasn't changed on next lts09:59
remix_tjthe packages i'm building manually are network-manager-fortisslvpn and network-manager-fortisslvpn-gnome that i see they are still on 1.2.8, but i require 1.2.10 since they have implemented a new field on the gui that has to be passed to the commandline of vpn client10:01
remix_tj1.2.10 package has been released a year ago https://github.com/NetworkManager/NetworkManager-fortisslvpn/releases if possible i'd like to have it upgraded on the upcoming ubuntu release10:03
Unit193Looks like that was never updated in Debian.10:09
remix_tjUnit193: and there's no way to update in ubuntu?11:22
rbasakremix_tj: Ubuntu is in feature freeze. A capable developer will need to negotiate Ubuntu's freeze exception processes, and if diverging from Debian, commit to maintaining the Ubuntu package until the divergence is gone.11:30
remix_tjit's a trivial update, can be updated also in debian, if required. But negotiating an exception maybe it's not worth11:38
remix_tjsince is a very marginal package11:38
dokotkamppeter: do we need hp-ppd in the distro, or can we remove it?12:36
rbasakremix_tj: if there are no feature changes then you don't need an exception12:48
remix_tjthe changes from the ubuntu release with respect to the one i'm compiling manually are few, but there are changes like adding a new field in the configuration of vpn12:50
kisakgood day, does anyone know how to get in touch with someone who manages Focal's 32 bit build whitelist? I'm having a hard time finding someone who would evaluate https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/intel-vaapi-driver-shaders/+bug/186431412:57
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1864314 in intel-vaapi-driver-shaders (Ubuntu) "Please include 32 bit i965-va-driver-shaders in Focal" [Undecided,New]12:57
rbasakremix_tj: then that does sound like a feature change. Sorry!13:00
rbasakkisak: this was recently documented: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/i386#How_to_expand_i386_port_scope13:01
remix_tji'd ask a dev from the italian community if he can change, otherwise i'll continue to build by myself13:01
kisakrbasak: thanks, will see if I can add a note to there without too much pain13:13
LocutusOfBorgvorlon, do you think we can make kisak happy above? ^^^13:46

LaneyGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT </tony the tiger>14:17

Laneyok14:20
gpiccolio/ sil210014:27
gpiccoliHoe are you doing? Sorry to annoy, I'd like to ask if libvirt could get releases to xenial-updates. Currently, it's on -proposed for a while, and blocking the UCA release hehe14:28
sil2100gpiccoli: o/ ah, yeah, so it was previously FTBFS for i386 so I marked LP: #1864918 as incomplete, hence it didn't appear as a valid candidate14:29
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1864918 in libvirt (Ubuntu Xenial) "libvirt for Xenial failing to build due to gnutls SHA1 restriction" [Low,Incomplete] https://launchpad.net/bugs/186491814:29
sil2100gpiccoli: but I see now it build successfully again14:30
sil2100Hoped someone will switch that bug to Fix Committed back after checking on my comment14:30
sil2100gpiccoli: switched back and released14:31
gpiccoliWow, thanks a lot sil2100 =)14:32
gpiccoliyou're fast dude!14:33
niedbalskiRAOF: or bdmurray hey o/, if any of you have a chance to please check lp: 1867398, I've completed the verification at my end.15:45
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1867398 in containerd (Ubuntu Eoan) "[Regression] unsupported protocol scheme" [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/186739815:45
bdmurrayniedbalski: that has not been in -proposed for 7 days afaict. Is the are reason to rush it?15:46
niedbalskibdmurray: you are right, i think it can wait for the 7 days cadence.15:48
niedbalskithanks15:48
bdmurrayniedbalski: okay, feel free to ping again on Thursday15:49

[rg]I just got the util-linux-dbgsym packacge, but https://bpaste.net/ID7Q gdb doesn't find anything, is a reboot required?19:54
sarnold$ dpkg -S sbin/fdisk20:00
sarnoldfdisk: /sbin/fdisk20:00
sarnold[rg]: are you sure you installed the right symbols?20:00
[rg]not 100%, I did enable the other debug symbol repo as per the wiki20:01
[rg]my output for that command is the same20:01
[rg]oh wait...20:01
[rg]fdisk is it's own package?20:01
[rg]sarnold: why does fdisk have it's own debug symbols? or, what is the util-linux-dbgsym for?20:06
sarnold[rg]: that's for debugging the programs in the util-linux package20:14
[rg]sarnold: yeah but it's fdisk source in util-linux?20:15
[rg]s/it's/isn't20:15
sarnold[rg]: hrm. good question. :)20:16
[rg]yeah I'm new to this :-)20:16
cjwatsonPretty sure the -dbgsym packages generally correspond to binaries not sources20:23
[rg]ok, thanks20:25
xeviousbryce: In case my response gets sent to your spam folder, I just replied to your last email.20:42
brycexevious, thanks, yeah I whitelisted you :-)20:48
xeviousbryce: I recently switched from amavis/spamassassin to rspamd and it's much more effective with much less configuration21:09
