jphilipsdid anyone have a reply to my message "is screenshooter defaulting to open screenshots in 'Feh' with 'Open with:' a bug?"10:56
jphilipsi sent in a patch for the installer slides for the link to the 20.04 documentation and sebastien said10:57
jphilips"changing the string would break the translations, you probably to sed change the msgid/msgstr in the po files to workaround"10:57

bluesabrejphilips: yes, that sounds like a bug. It should only affect the live session though, since we use feh there to draw the installer background11:11
jphilipsbluesabre: so file against casper?11:13
bluesabrejphilips: file against xubuntu-default-settings, we'll need to figure out a way to not let feh grab defaults11:14
bluesabrejphilips: commented on that bug where seb128 is clearly wrong11:14
bluesabreUnless the url is included in the translations, in case he's right11:15
bluesabreIn which case, you can use sed/awk if you're comfortable, otherwise various code editors can replace all files in a project. Just replace all that url to hit the po files as well11:18

jphilipsunfortunately i'm not familiar with sed/awk11:29
bluesabreYeah, don't do that.11:34
bluesabrejphilips: where's the source code for the installer located at?11:36
jphilipsbluesabre: its a git repo11:37
jphilipshttps://git.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu11:37
bluesabrejphilips: thanks. I'll provide an extended patch shortly11:38

jphilipswe use noto sans regular and noto sans bold as the default font and titlebar font, but when non-english characters appear, it doesn't fallback on the noto sans language variants that we ship. i believe there is some font config file that is used for fallbacks and does xubuntu ships its own or does it use the one from ubuntu15:06
=== Eickmeyer[q] is now known as Eickmeyer
bluesabrejphilips: I don't think we do anything specific for it21:36
jphilipsbluesabre: what is your suggestion to this fix that i think should be builtin https://twitter.com/jphilipz/status/124862705313961984221:37
jphilipsthat if arabic characters are used, noto sans should be falling back on noto sans arabic rather than dejavu sans21:38
