=== krytarik is now known as kryten [02:21] FurretUber: if the resular file /var/lib/snapd/snaps/lxd_14353.snap exists you can probably manage it using the "snap" command. this would be revision 14353 of the "lxd" snap. [02:28] Hmm... it says no such file or directory [07:02] Morning, it appears that mysql-workbench package does not exist in 20.04 repositories. [07:03] !info mysql-workbench [07:03] Package mysql-workbench does not exist in focal [07:03] "Debian #953138, removed in testing, unfulfillable dependency on python-paramiko" [07:03] Debian bug 953138 in src:mysql-workbench "mysql-workbench: Cannot install: missing libantlr4-runtime and python libraries" [Serious,Open] http://bugs.debian.org/953138 [07:04] I see [07:05] Silmarilion: cant find it in apt-cache indeed [07:12] meowning [07:12] updated to the Final Betas of 20.04 today [07:29] Silmarilion: https://forums.mysql.com/read.php?152,685111,685139#msg-685139 [07:32] tomreyn, I am guessing that python2 is not supported anymore? [07:33] not in 20.04, and certainly not upstream [07:34] whoops i lied, there's 2.7 in focal's universe [07:35] but paramiko isn't available for 2.7 on focal apparently. [07:38] maybe https://dbeaver.io/ is a good enough alternative [07:39] Yeah I just installed it, I use both. [09:14] what is current way to automate fossa installation using netboot (i.e. using mini.iso)? preseed or the new autoinstall? [09:29] welcome danjjl [09:32] Hello I just installed Ubuntu 20.04 and am since experiencing a very slow internet when using WiFi. I am having a bit of trouble debugging the issue and would appreciate help to identify the issue.1. This is a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 install2. Internet worked just fine on 18.043. Internet still works fine when using an ethernet cable4. On WiFi resolving [09:32] websites is very slow (~2-10 seconds)5. Speed tests on WiFi show a fast internet connection6. The latptop as got an Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless AC 7265, REV=0x210 chipAny idea what I could do to debug this issue? [09:52] is the netboot installation going to support the new autoinstall mechanism, too? [09:53] for 20.04? [10:52] welcome snowdin [10:52] lotuspsychje: thanks for pointing me to the 2 channels [10:53] welcome snowdin [10:53] I got some support in the kubuntu channel for my question already [10:53] great to hear [10:59] :) [12:49] frechdachs69: i am pretty sure it's supposed to. i don't know whether it does already. [15:44] Wonder what's up with the kernel freeze. It was supposed to be on April 9th but new kernels keep landing in proposed updates for 5.4.0.25.28 (and now 5.4.0.25.29 in building). [15:55] howarth: kernel sub numbers will always get released when needed [16:20] welcome myphs [16:20] hi, thank you for welcoming me [16:21] is 20.04 beta considered stable already? or is the possibility of it breaking in the next week quite high? [16:22] myphs: there are still some bugs to solve in this stage, but there's no general statement valid for every system [16:23] myphs: it also depends on the hardware installed on aswell [16:24] myphs: are you planning to clean install or upgrade to test it? [16:24] well i'm using a thinkpad t470 and i've got some time today but not the next couple weeks [16:24] lotuspsychje: i'd do an clean install. usually a minimal install with luks and full disk encryption [16:25] myphs: if you install the beta now, updates will lead you to the final release when its out [16:29] myphs: its the users choice to install 20.04 now, or await 20.04.1 around august and more bugs are solved [16:29] lotuspsychje: that's what i thought, but if there are still issues remaining that might render my os unusable i'd rather wait [16:30] myphs: well as said above, it really depends on the hardware aswell, what you can do is test a liveusb and see for yourself [16:36] pavlushka: fixed nvidia on 20.04? [16:38] lotuspsychje: yes, it supports only GUI mode, if I stop x server, it does not show the tty shells, remains just blank [16:38] pavlushka: wich driver version are you on now? [16:39] 440 with GTX 1030, a cheap one [16:39] good so you did make 440 work afterall [16:41] lotuspsychje: yep, ate my whole day, I thought lets use the nvidia to test on coreboot, 5 minutes here and then on testing, right? [16:41] lotuspsychje: alright, i'll take a look at at it later. thank you! [16:41] myphs: good luck! [17:08] and then I start playing 0ad to relax, it's like chasing the rabbit, right? [17:09] didnt test pavlushka im more a fps guy [17:10] frame per second of what? [17:11] first person shooter :p [17:12] lotuspsychje: wow, so steam, right? [17:15] pavlushka: steam or games from the repos [17:15] lotuspsychje: 0ad is a game from the repo [17:16] yeah i know, RTS === housecat is now known as dax
