user|69800how to install opera in kubuntu because in store i cant find they show snap history error while downloading07:58
andres_Hi all! My name is andres, noob on linux and this is my first time I test an ubuntu version. (kubuntu 20.04).  I have found 3 things I dont know what is the problem.08:00
andres_first: When I install a theme on global themes menu, if I want to unninstall the theme I dont see the remove icon when I put the mouse on theme to be uninstall. I have to open the installer themes click on "get new global themes" button and search the theme and click to uninstall button08:01
andres_second: If I remove a theme, this theme does not disappear from global themes window.08:02
andres_third: I'm not able to close window with double click on menu icon from window. I dont know if it is a problem or not because this problem run with a lot installed themes not by default.08:02
Acheronandres_: if you are a noob in Linux you probably should learn more before testing a pre-release and stick to a LTS release08:05

kubuntu-new-userHi08:40
kubuntu-new-userCan I use wine in order to run office 2019?08:40
oerhekskubuntu-new-user, check #winehq and their database08:43
kubuntu-new-user#winehq08:46
kubuntu-new-userwhat is difference between playonlinux to wine ?08:56
oerheksplayonlinux is a bunch of scripts. to be used with wine08:57
kubuntu-new-userso wine will be easier for use ?08:58
oerhekssome apps/games need some special configuration, that is what those scripts do08:58
oerheksthe other one is lutris. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lutris09:00

Acheronandres_: you can also search the KDE bug tracker and see if those issues have already been reported09:18
Acheronhttps://bugs.kde.org/09:18
Acheronchances are they have09:18

tangaroraHi, does anyone know when the kio redirector will be updated so it does not want to download every 4 - 8 gig movie I try watch over a network.10:07
Acheronis there a bug report for that?10:08
tangaroraAceron, nope. This has been the default behavior since forever in KDE. Wich is different from the default behavior in Gnome, Pantheon, Deepin, MAC, Windows (95 - 10). The reason I am asking is because I read an article about this going to be fixed...10:10
tangaroraAcheron -- sorry mis spelled10:10
Acheroni would think something like that could be fixed thru a file association10:11
tangaroraAcheron, I have tried many different players and the behavior is consistent.10:11
tangaroraThe solution has been to disgard Dolphin and use Nautilus as the default file manager.10:12
tangaroraEverything works as expected then, but it looks a bit ugly....10:13
tangaroraKDE is so much better than gnome in so many ways, so it is a bit painful to have to resort to Nautilus. :)10:15
Acheroni just play videos over the net or download them with youtube-dl and then play them locally10:16
Acheronover the next thru the browser i meant10:16
Acheroni've never had that problem10:16
AcheronKIO is an odd animal though10:17
Acheronits a definite problem in KDE10:17
Acheronand stuff goes unfixed for years in KDE which i don't understand10:17
Acheronthey have the resources10:18
AcheronLinux Mint is just a handful of developers10:18
