lotuspsychjegood morning02:54
jphilipsseems the irc to telegram bridge is down presently03:09
jphilipsguess popey is fiddling with it :D03:09
jphilipsmorning lotuspsychje03:10
lotuspsychjehey there jphilips03:10
jphilipstwo days left for the release. its exciting03:10
lotuspsychjeyay!03:11
jphilipspopeydc did track down the issue of the jumbling of words on the bridge - https://twitter.com/popey/status/125232560820765901103:12
guiverc:) @ the tweet, thanks jphilips (cat->dog)05:15
jphilipsguiverc: how things going in lubuntu land05:17
guiverca few minor issues with calamares (some minor, eg. I don't think many will have a floppy drive, let alone floppy in their system on boot to create one found).  otherwise looks good05:18
jphilipsi remember finding a bug in the installer on the partition page, how it displays which partition it would install to05:59
jphilipsguess i should have reported it06:06
jphilipsoh i did mention it in the lubuntu-devel channel06:08
jphilipsguiverc: "was trying out the lubuntu installer and how it shows the after section in 'replace a partition' would definitely be confusing - https://i.imgur.com/OB0Fe06.png"06:09
guiverclooking (sorry missed the ping; i was out feeding birds)07:09
guivercyeah I agree.. i'm booting a system & will have a look, if you'd like to file a bug might be best07:12
guivercjphilips, ^07:12
jphilipsguiverc: you can go for it. not familiar with where to file it :D07:18
guivercno probs, will do, thanks for noticing jphilips07:19
jphilipsassume it should be filed upstream with calamares07:20
guivercI'd assume that too, but i'll file here first.. were you using VM or hardware?07:20
guivercsorry I see now VMWARE07:21
guivercjphilips, FYI: lp 187402307:35

ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <ItzSwirlz> I keep getting this error19:49
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <ItzSwirlz>19:49
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <ItzSwirlz> Anyone else getting it19:49
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <Zachariah> I didn't have any trouble with the boot loader. Was it possible for you to install GRUB manually?19:49
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <ItzSwirlz> i installed budgie instead xd19:49
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <ItzSwirlz> and rn im installing ubuntu-desktop19:49
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <Zachariah> What flavor is this?19:49
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <bashfulrobot> DId that one work? (re @ItzSwirlz: i installed budgie instead xd)19:49
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <ItzSwirlz> yeah19:49
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <bashfulrobot> ok - good to know.19:49
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <bashfulrobot> TA19:49
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <Zachariah> I was actually able to take my wife's little Lenovo Flex, plug in an SSD attached to a USB adapter, plug the Kubuntu 20.04 installer thumbdrive into a USB C-to-A adapter and install to the SSD without affecting the onboard eMMC. This little Celeron N4100 was really slow in Windows, but it's fast as heck in 20.04! I have it hooked to a TV and GZDOOM runs great!19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <Zachariah> But the display settings are weird. I can't get mirrored screens to work. When I try and mirror, the TV looks fine but the onboard screen shows the upper-left 1366x768 of the 1920x1080.19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <Zachariah> And I can't set the TV to 1366x768. Just 1280x720.19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <Zachariah> Who would I report these display issues to?19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> welcome @lipe6619:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> @franksmcb @wimpress sometimes when i run ubuntu mate, the live session has not internet connectivity (no ethernet or wifi) and when i go to shutdown, i only see a single cancel button and i'm not sure how to file a bug through ubuntu-bug in this situation.19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz>19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> forgot to mention that sound also doesnt work19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <kc2bez> If you issue ubuntu-bug -w it lets you select a window.19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> yes i'm aware of that @kc2bez but what do i do if i have no internet connectivity19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <kc2bez> Oh I missed that part sorry.19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> is there a way to collect the bug info, copy it on a usb, and then file it from another computer?19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <ItzSwirlz> oh thank you (re @kc2bez: If you issue ubuntu-bug -w it lets you select a window.)19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> thankfully it in help https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Filing_bugs_when_offline_or_using_a_headless_setup19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <kc2bez> Thanks for sharing. (re @philipz: thankfully it in help https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Filing_bugs_when_offline_or_using_a_headless_setup)19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> not sure if this has happened with others, but many times i tell the crash dialog to report the bug and then nothing happens.19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> had a brisk menu crash, told it to report and nothing19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> i see 2 bluetooth indicators in the mate system tray and not sure what package to file that against. @kc2bez any thoughts19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <kc2bez> I am not sure what mate uses for a Bluetooth applet, perhaps @franksmcb can help here.19:50

ubot5Ubuntu bug 1874003 in network-manager (Ubuntu) "cant log into network" [Low,Incomplete]19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <KaiLoveLinux> anger is filling inside me, I now have to make a brand new repo because this one is just screwed up :19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <popeydc> its back19:50
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> guess it needed some rest :D19:51
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> great that it still was logging on the stuff that from telegram and pushed it out to irc, though not sure how happy the irc crowd is ;)19:52
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> what was the cause? (re @popeydc: its back)19:52
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <popeydc> the cause of what?19:53
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> the bot stop working19:53
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <popeydc> I don't know right now, I just started it as it wasn't running. I am not looking at it right now.19:54
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <popeydc> Don't worry about it.19:54
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> oh okay. just curious as we we've setup the same for xubuntu and wondering if there is anything that we should be aware of19:54
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <popeydc> I don't think there's anything to worry about19:55
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> thanks for fixing it19:55
ubuntutestingbot[telegram] <philipz> discussions werent as lively today as it was down19:56
