[01:22] @ItzSwirlz: Hi, Can you explain in more detail? Or is there a screenshot? we are now support English and Chinese. [02:54] good morning [03:09] seems the irc to telegram bridge is down presently [03:09] guess popey is fiddling with it :D [03:10] morning lotuspsychje [03:10] hey there jphilips [03:10] two days left for the release. its exciting [03:11] yay! [03:12] popeydc did track down the issue of the jumbling of words on the bridge - https://twitter.com/popey/status/1252325608207659011 [05:15] :) @ the tweet, thanks jphilips (cat->dog) [05:17] guiverc: how things going in lubuntu land [05:18] a few minor issues with calamares (some minor, eg. I don't think many will have a floppy drive, let alone floppy in their system on boot to create one found). otherwise looks good [05:59] i remember finding a bug in the installer on the partition page, how it displays which partition it would install to [06:06] guess i should have reported it [06:08] oh i did mention it in the lubuntu-devel channel [06:09] guiverc: "was trying out the lubuntu installer and how it shows the after section in 'replace a partition' would definitely be confusing - https://i.imgur.com/OB0Fe06.png" [07:09] looking (sorry missed the ping; i was out feeding birds) [07:12] yeah I agree.. i'm booting a system & will have a look, if you'd like to file a bug might be best [07:12] jphilips, ^ [07:18] guiverc: you can go for it. not familiar with where to file it :D [07:19] no probs, will do, thanks for noticing jphilips [07:20] assume it should be filed upstream with calamares [07:20] I'd assume that too, but i'll file here first.. were you using VM or hardware? [07:21] sorry I see now VMWARE [07:35] jphilips, FYI: lp 1874023 [07:35] Launchpad bug 1874023 in calamares (Ubuntu) "lubuntu 20.04 - how it shows the after section in 'replace a partition' is confusing" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1874023 [09:31] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Netboot amd64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20101020ubuntu614) [09:31] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Netboot armhf [Focal Final] has been updated (20101020ubuntu614) [09:31] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Netboot s390x [Focal Final] has been updated (20101020ubuntu614) [09:31] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Netboot arm64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20101020ubuntu614) [09:31] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Netboot ppc64el [Focal Final] has been updated (20101020ubuntu614) [09:59] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Base amd64 [Focal Final] (20200421) has been added [09:59] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Base armhf [Focal Final] (20200421) has been added [09:59] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Base s390x [Focal Final] (20200421) has been added [09:59] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Base arm64 [Focal Final] (20200421) has been added [09:59] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Base ppc64el [Focal Final] (20200421) has been added [10:15] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Upgrade Lubuntu amd64 [Focal Final] (20200420) has been added [10:15] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Upgrade Kubuntu amd64 [Focal Final] (20200420) has been added [10:15] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Upgrade Ubuntu Server amd64 [Focal Final] (20200420) has been added [10:15] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Upgrade Ubuntu amd64 [Focal Final] (20200420) has been added [10:15] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Upgrade Xubuntu amd64 [Focal Final] (20200420) has been added [10:15] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Upgrade Ubuntu Studio amd64 [Focal Final] (20200420) has been added [10:15] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Upgrade Ubuntu MATE amd64 [Focal Final] (20200420) has been added [10:15] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Upgrade UbuntuKylin amd64 [Focal Final] (20200420) has been added [18:21] hi popey === jphilips_ is now known as jphilips [19:49] [telegram] I keep getting this error [19:49] [telegram] [19:49] [telegram] Anyone else getting it [19:49] [telegram] I didn't have any trouble with the boot loader. Was it possible for you to install GRUB manually? [19:49] [telegram] i installed budgie instead xd [19:49] [telegram] and rn im installing ubuntu-desktop [19:49] [telegram] What flavor is this? [19:49] [telegram] DId that one work? (re @ItzSwirlz: i installed budgie instead xd) [19:49] [telegram] yeah [19:49] [telegram] ok - good to know. [19:49] [telegram] TA [19:50] [telegram] I was actually able to take my wife's little Lenovo Flex, plug in an SSD attached to a USB adapter, plug the Kubuntu 20.04 installer thumbdrive into a USB C-to-A adapter and install to the SSD without affecting the onboard eMMC. This little Celeron N4100 was really slow in Windows, but it's fast as heck in 20.04! I have it hooked to a TV and GZDOOM runs great! [19:50] [telegram] But the display settings are weird. I can't get mirrored screens to work. When I try and mirror, the TV looks fine but the onboard screen shows the upper-left 1366x768 of the 1920x1080. [19:50] [telegram] And I can't set the TV to 1366x768. Just 1280x720. [19:50] [telegram] Who would I report these display issues to? [19:50] [telegram] welcome @lipe66 [19:50] [telegram] @franksmcb @wimpress sometimes when i run ubuntu mate, the live session has not internet connectivity (no ethernet or wifi) and when i go to shutdown, i only see a single cancel button and i'm not sure how to file a bug through ubuntu-bug in this situation. [19:50] [telegram] [19:50] [telegram] forgot to mention that sound also doesnt work [19:50] [telegram] If you issue ubuntu-bug -w it lets you select a window. [19:50] [telegram] yes i'm aware of that @kc2bez but what do i do if i have no internet connectivity [19:50] [telegram] Oh I missed that part sorry. [19:50] [telegram] is there a way to collect the bug info, copy it on a usb, and then file it from another computer? [19:50] [telegram] oh thank you (re @kc2bez: If you issue ubuntu-bug -w it lets you select a window.) [19:50] [telegram] thankfully it in help https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Filing_bugs_when_offline_or_using_a_headless_setup [19:50] [telegram] Thanks for sharing. (re @philipz: thankfully it in help https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Filing_bugs_when_offline_or_using_a_headless_setup) [19:50] [telegram] not sure if this has happened with others, but many times i tell the crash dialog to report the bug and then nothing happens. [19:50] [telegram] had a brisk menu crash, told it to report and nothing [19:50] [telegram] i see 2 bluetooth indicators in the mate system tray and not sure what package to file that against. @kc2bez any thoughts [19:50] [telegram] I am not sure what mate uses for a Bluetooth applet, perhaps @franksmcb can help here. [19:50] [telegram] Blueman [19:50] [telegram] [19:50] [telegram] [19:50] [telegram] [19:50] [telegram] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1874003 : [19:50] Ubuntu bug 1874003 in network-manager (Ubuntu) "cant log into network" [Low,Incomplete] [19:50] [telegram] anger is filling inside me, I now have to make a brand new repo because this one is just screwed up : [19:50] [telegram] its back [19:51] [telegram] guess it needed some rest :D [19:52] [telegram] great that it still was logging on the stuff that from telegram and pushed it out to irc, though not sure how happy the irc crowd is ;) [19:52] [telegram] what was the cause? (re @popeydc: its back) [19:53] [telegram] the cause of what? [19:53] [telegram] the bot stop working [19:54] [telegram] I don't know right now, I just started it as it wasn't running. I am not looking at it right now. [19:54] [telegram] Don't worry about it. [19:54] [telegram] oh okay. just curious as we we've setup the same for xubuntu and wondering if there is anything that we should be aware of [19:55] [telegram] I don't think there's anything to worry about [19:55] [telegram] thanks for fixing it [19:56] [telegram] discussions werent as lively today as it was down [20:05] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Kubuntu Desktop amd64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [20:10] [telegram] [20:42] images are being rebuilt now b/c of linux and ubiquity but there will be another respin tomorrow [20:11] [telegram] ^^ from #ubuntu-release [20:12] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Budgie Desktop amd64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [20:15] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Lubuntu Desktop amd64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [20:17] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Studio DVD amd64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [20:17] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Xubuntu Desktop amd64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [20:35] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Desktop amd64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [20:39] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Kylin Desktop amd64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [20:52] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu MATE Desktop amd64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [20:57] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Server amd64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [20:57] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Server ppc64el [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [20:57] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Server arm64 [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [20:57] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Server s390x [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [21:12] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Server arm64+raspi [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421) [21:12] -queuebot:#ubuntu-quality- Builds: Ubuntu Server armhf+raspi [Focal Final] has been updated (20200421)
