Running 'sudo pcmanfm --desktop' Fixes it temporarily.  Any idea what could have caused this, and how to fix it please?

[17:52] <strobe2020> but i haven't tested that yet, so i don't know if it works. if it does, then i'd need to connect via vncserver which is also running
