tumbleweed | what version of autodep8 is the CI infrastructure using? | 00:16 |
---|---|---|
tumbleweed | if it's from from 18.04, it'd explain the r-bioc-rhdf5 failure and I can stop tearing hair out (missing tset dep) | 00:17 |
vorlon | tumbleweed: autodep8 is deployed from https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-release/+git/autodep8 | 01:14 |
vorlon | seems to be 0.19 | 01:15 |
vorlon | so not 18.04, but older than what's in focal, to be sure | 01:15 |
Eickmeyer | Quick question: what is the proper versioning for a Debian package that needs to be SRU'd? For instance, if it's 0.24.8~dfsg0-1 would it be 0.24.8~dfsg0-1~20.04.1 or 0.24.8~dfsg0-1ubuntu1~20.04.1? | 01:18 |
vorlon | Eickmeyer: recommending versioning scheme here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/UpdatePreparation#Update_the_packaging | 01:22 |
Eickmeyer | vorlon: ta | 01:22 |
Eickmeyer | (I was close with my second example) | 01:25 |
vorlon | tumbleweed: correction, looks like that branch is up-to-date with 0.22 | 01:27 |
tumbleweed | vorlon: with what apt sources available? | 03:16 |
tumbleweed | (the R stuff uses grep-aptavail) | 03:16 |
tumbleweed | well, more to the point, grep-dctrl | 03:16 |
tumbleweed | no, the aptavail is what matters | 03:19 |
tumbleweed | so, I'm guessing xenial | 03:20 |
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- New binary: libclamunrar [amd64] (groovy-proposed/multiverse) [0.102.3-2] (no packageset) | 05:16 | |
vorlon | tumbleweed: er, it runs grep-dctrl against a file in the package source, doesn't it? (DESCRIPTION) | 05:41 |
tumbleweed | vorlon: yes, but it gets the list of R modules available in the world, from apt | 06:13 |
tumbleweed | there was a force-reset-test for it. commented and bumped | 06:13 |
vorlon | tumbleweed: ah. ok, that seems rather terrible | 06:13 |
tumbleweed | indeed | 06:14 |
tumbleweed | we colud hack it to look at lists of packages that we maintain separately, but ick | 06:14 |
tumbleweed | I guess it's a sign that autopkgtests are maturing, that this release a lot of the issues I'm looking at are specific to Ubuntu's test-runner environment's difference to debian | 06:16 |
LocutusOfBorg | vorlon, you were right, missing "+x" on init file | 08:18 |
LocutusOfBorg | damn MoM bugs! | 08:18 |
LocutusOfBorg | and thanks! | 08:19 |
Laney | tumbleweed: Sounds like a bug in autodep8 :( | 08:19 |
Laney | does Debian provide that guarantee? | 08:19 |
LocutusOfBorg | uploading on bileto, lets see | 08:19 |
Laney | I guess we should check snakefruit to see if anything to stuck after the networking incident yesterday | 08:34 |
Laney | that's happened before | 08:34 |
* Laney does | 08:34 | |
Laney | heh, there was a run of https://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/testing-ports/ from Apr 26 | 08:36 |
Laney | such a used service | 08:36 |
Laney | looks ok apart from that | 08:36 |

RikMills | vorlon: it seems that nmapsi4 in proposed switched to build depending on QtWebEngine, so is now not buildable on ppc4el/s390x/riscv64. Could you remove the release pocket binaries for those? | 20:54 |
vorlon | RikMills: forensics-all-gui needs fixed first to not depend on it | 21:05 |
vorlon | RikMills: oh wait, that's arch: all - nevermind | 21:05 |

vorlon | wgrant: any idea why util-linux's setarch --uname-2.6 test would have regressed on riscv64? it's not a new test | 23:29 |
wgrant | vorlon: that was failing early on last year, due to an assumption about iirc stack layout that was fixed upstream. I carried a patch in my out-of-archive port for a while, but then one update it started building fine so I assumed the upstream fix had made it downstream. I have notes somewhere, will find in a bit. | 23:34 |

wgrant | not sure if it's the same issue | 23:37 |
