ubottufretegi: Please don't ask to ask a question, simply ask the question (all on ONE line and in the channel, so that others can read and follow it easily). If anyone knows the answer they will most likely reply. :-) See also !patience15:26
fretegiubottu, apologies, figured it out.  couldnt get a raid device removed..  ended up just shrinking raid and purged it that way.  seems to be properly working now thanks15:28
ubottufretegi: I am only a bot, please don't think I'm intelligent :)15:28

fretegii rebuilt array, check the devices.  both /dev/sdb & c looked clean both referencing the same raid UUID both showing active with sdb as drive 0 ad sdc as drive 1.  updated mdadm.conf.  reboot.. /dev/sdc, nothing.. again... raid wont start automatically as sdc not showing a raid block...19:22

RoyKfretegi_away: just don't use pastebin.com - it's spammy and tracks everything - https://paste.ubuntu.com/ is probably the pastebin of choice in here19:59
RoyKfretegi_away: as with your disk, check 'mdadm --examine /dev/sdX' (btw I see did that). If there's no superblock on a drive, it needs to get one. I hope you have redundancy20:02
tomreynalso, for the -E (examine) of "first drive in array", you posted this url: https://pastebin.com/20:18
