[14:01] <mort> one curious thing: it seems like a lot of ubuntu's problems are from tools which try to handle errors somehow
[14:02] <mort> back around 14.04, typing an incorrect command always resulted in a "command-not-found has crashed!" message for me on many systems
[14:03] <mort> at least until 17.x, one of the super common problems I had with all ubuntu systems I encountered was that apport would get into some state where it would show the "a system problem has occurred" screen on every single log-in until /var/crash was manually cleared out
