AlligatorJoewhat is with the lubuntu session...it says lxde can't be found....i thought people had moved to lxqt sessions now03:20
AlligatorJoewell i am not going to worry about this crap...just here to say if anybody is making any money then they owe the 5 of us trillions of dollars for our model1 computer ideas.03:27
lubot<Aj@¥> how do i solve it06:18
lubot<Aj@¥> (Photo, 1280x715) https://i.imgur.com/ycGEp65.jpg what on earth is this06:18
guiverc@Aj@¥, I would boot a *live* system (eg. Lubuntu install media) & firstly `fsck` your partitions (file system check). If something was found & fixed; it'll likely boot normal next boot.06:20
lubot<Aj@¥> i used recovery and it has loaded06:22
lubot<Aj@¥> how will i check fsck06:23
guivercfsck or file system check is easiest when fs is not in use, thus why I boot a *live* system & fsck from there.   You can `touch` a file to cause fsck next boot, but I prefer not to do anything until after fsck has been run06:25

ShellcatZeroIs there any kind of release timeline for 0.15?  There are some pending bugs in the current version needing to be fixed: https://github.com/lxqt/lxqt-config/issues/40013:34
ShellcatZero(read very last comment in the issue)13:38
ShellcatZeroBigger question: where should issues like this be reported so that distro maintainers are aware?13:41
lubot<HMollerCl> @ShellcatZero [<ShellcatZero> Is there any kind of release timeline for 0.15?  There are some p …], 20.10 will have 0.1514:01
lubot<HMollerCl> 0.15 was released after 20.04 freeze14:02
lubot<HMollerCl> @HMollerCl [0.15 was released after 20.04 freeze], was released on Apr 2414:04
ShellcatZerook, but how is 20.04 going to get bugfixes like the one mentioned in the github issue, or what is the workaround for that particular problem?14:26
lubot<HMollerCl> @ShellcatZero [<ShellcatZero> ok, but how is 20.04 going to get bugfixes like the one mentioned …], if you want you can compile 0.15 by yourself. … We are trying to backport 0.15 to 20.04 but with no clear timeline/results. You can always join us and help to do it.14:58
ShellcatZeroThanks, do you have a link on the backport effort to 20.04 where I can potentially participate?18:13
lubot<corncobweb> I have a small screen on my netbook. A bunch of apps will open windows that go outside the bounds of the screen. Is there a setting that can mitigate that problem, or is that considered an app bug?18:58
wxl@corncoweb first of you should know that holding alt and click dragging will allow you to move the window around so you can access the minimize/maximize buttons, which may be helpful19:15
wxlsecondly openbox may have a setting like that but i've never tried. perhaps using margins? http://openbox.org/wiki/Help:Configuration#Margins19:15
lubot<corncobweb> Thank you19:24
lubot<emergencyrussia> @corncobweb [I have a small screen on my netbook. A bunch of apps will open windows that go o …], That's pain … Let me guess … 640x480?19:27
lubot<corncobweb> No, it's 1024x600 but apps are still opening windows too big.19:28
lubot<corncobweb> I tried the openbox options. It looks like its the apps that are the problem.20:40
lubot<corncobweb> Maybe it would work if I did screen scaling20:41
lubot<corncobweb> But then the text would be too small to read20:41
lubot<corncobweb> So I'll just give up.20:41
