IrcsomeBot<Anarchotaoist> Hello! Is there a way to have the key shortcut for the Notifications widget to be Meta? It will not enter in the configure shortcuts entry. I have it set for F11 at present but as I never use the Meta/Super key of the menu it would better serve as the Notification hot key!03:51

IrcsomeBot<A A> I tried to upgrade from 18 lts to 20 lts but I can't.07:44
IrcsomeBot<A A> Have you run into such problem?07:45
guiverc@A A, the upgrade path from 18.04 LTS to 20.04 LTS has still not been enabled, it gets enabled AFTER 20.04.1 has been released (out already) when everything is deemed stable.  Refer https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/focal-fossa-20-04-1-lts-point-release-status-tracking/17604   You can force it (refer https://ubuntu.com/blog/how-to-upgrade-from-ubuntu-18-04-lts-to-20-04-lts-today though that applies to Ubuntu & not Kubuntu, I'd recommend waiting08:38

dnivraHello everyone! I am running Kubuntu 18.04 on a Thinkpad P1 and I'm trying to update device firmware using fwupdmgr. fwupdmgr doesn't list all available updates(it says "ignore <device> as not updatable) so I manually downloaded the updates from Lenovo's website and ran "fwupdmgr install /path/to/cab/file" and I a similar error back "Device does not currently allow updates". I tried searching around to understand why and how to fix but couldn't find much20:33
dnivrauseful info. How can I fix this and update the device firmwares?20:33
oerhekssudo fwupdmgr refresh --force // fwupdmgr get-updates /// sudo fwupdmgr update # is the short list that i have20:39
oerheksLenovo should be supported.20:39
dnivraYeah I see some upgrades but not all(Lenovo's website has updates available for manual download). I'm guessing it has something to do with fwupdmgr ignoring some devices as "not updatable".20:44

dnivraFigured out the problem: turns out fwupd-signed package wasn't installed and so fwupdmgr could not check for updates for some devices since that signed version was required. Installing it and rebooting fixed things: I see more updates now.21:12
