[12:33] Hi all, i'm looking for some support/experience with xRDP and multiple users sharing the same xRDP session (students/teacher / classroom basically), this on Lubuntu 20.04. Anyone achieved something like this via xRDP/Xorg/lxqt? [13:12] regarding previous question, can using older versions of Mozilla FIrefox be a possible solution? How can i install older versions (lets say version 24.0 from around 2013) from the command prompt? [13:45] @D000m3n [ hello, i installed lubuntu on my very old computer (+15 years) and i h …], "just crashing" - with what kind of error? [13:45] "from around 2013" - I would not recommend this for security reasons … Using some text browser (Lynx or something) would be superior [13:48] just to update you guys, i installed mozilla from the store once again and now it works! :D i dont know why the version included in the installation kept crashing but now its all good! [13:51] @D000m3n [ just to update you guys, i installed mozilla from the store once again …], Probably some update since that fixed some crashes. I forgot to recommend upgrading packages. [14:01] maybe a stupid question... are there any "lightweight" youtube apps? it runs very slow on mozilla [15:42] @D000m3n [ maybe a stupid question... are there any "lightweight" youtube apps? i …], I use `youtube-dl` to download videos and view it locally. [15:42] Far more efficient (my laptop lags on building StreetComplete anroid app and on watching video) [15:42] Skips ads. [15:42] Skips autoplay, reducing timesink problem. [15:42] I can keep videos that I liked. [15:43] And main loser is Google, and I can happily leave with google getting paid less. [15:43] Main risk is that it is technically against ToS. [15:43] @D000m3n [ maybe a stupid question... are there any "lightweight" youtube apps? i …], VLC [15:44] Yep, I use VLC for that. [15:44] you can put the url direclty in VLC, VLC uses youtube-dl [15:45] oo, that is even better [15:47] mpv is also quite good: `mpv http://......` [16:56] hi, is there a channel for audacity? [16:57] (audio editor)ù [16:58] ok, think i found it :) [17:20] thank you all for the suggestions, but neither VLC or SMP want to play youtube videos from URL alone. both say something among the lines "unable to connect to youtube". I put my Lubuntu 20.04 at domain and the machine appears at computers list domain, domain users can login by ssh, but there is no option to login domain users by GUI. I suppost should have the "other user" option to type user, domain and password.
