[06:07] <fxx> hello guys, I'm running kubuntu from live usb and everything works alright, but when I install full kubuntu to a removable usb stick it runs painfully slow, takes 10 minutes to load desktop after entering password. Is there something wrong with my usb stick or kubuntu is just not meant to be installed like that?

[06:30] <lordievader> fxx: For as far as I know you cant. However, it is my experience that usb sticks are terribly slow (compared to HDDs or SSDs).

[14:00] <fxx> Yes, thank you! It is in fact in ram... When I try to install AMD drivers, they try to unpack into /tmp, runs out of space and Kubuntu hangs - couldn't even move a mouser cursor for 15 minutes before hard reboot. How do I make it use physical drive for temp installation files?
