[00:01] actually can just leave the part in that is there and add the other and it will still work. [00:08] OvenWerks: 👍️ [15:50] and maybe "new in* this release" in the second h2 :) [15:51] huge ups and lots of congratulations for the new release! [15:52] also, i'm super Happy for you that you've been granted to ask for fundings! y'all really diserve it!! [15:53] y'all the best!! 💜 enough noise from me in #dev ! [16:35] I might have found a big bug in 20.10. virt-manager storage no longer works. If I try to configure a storage repository, i get an error that virt-manager fails to check the COW status of the storage, and returns an error because I am not running BTRFS. Can anyone confirm this? [16:35] I booted my 20.04.1 and virt-manager works fine there === ubott2 is now known as ubottu === Wimpress_ is now known as Wimpress === Tsesarevich_ is now known as Tsesarevich [17:01] Mauro Gaspari: So, that's not an Ubuntu Studio issue at all. [17:02] And, for the record, I'm running on BTRFS right now. [17:02] I think if confirmed, this should affect all Ubuntu 20.10. possibly due to the fedora changes in their default file system? [17:03] Probably not. Ubuntu's default file system is ext4. Distros don't guarantee interoperability with each other. [17:04] If you believe you have an issue though, file a bug against virt-manager. (ubuntu-bug virt-manager) [17:05] That said, that's definitely an Ubuntu thing, not Studio. [17:06] I will go and file it right away, sounds pretty bad not to have kvm storage unless on BTRFS, which is not a default in ubuntu. Thanks Eickmeyer [17:07] I'll fire up my laptop which also runs 20.10 and confirm there first. but yes thanks! [17:07] Mauro Gaspari: No problem. :) [17:08] by the way, thanks to Michael [17:08] https://frontpagelinux.com/news/ubuntu-studio-20-10-is-it-the-perfect-linux-distro/ [17:08] Nice! [17:10] I got the tutorial ready as a separate article. This one is not based on ubuntu budgie but as you saw, on ubuntu studio 20.10, with all the updated looks, LSP plugins instead of Calf. [17:10] Michael will probably wait a bit to publish it because he will want to leave some breathing time to this article [17:11] Yeah, that makes sense. Michael and I have discussions about these things. :) [18:54] does http://ubuntustudio.net point into the void on purpose, or is this actually in use, just differently? [18:55] tomreyn: As far as I know, we don't own that domain. [18:59] Eickmeyer[m]: whois says canonical does, so i was wondering [19:01] tomreyn: Then it probably needs a simple redirect. [19:04] it's not important, i just happened to realize it resolves to an ip address (which is currently delegated to canonical), so i got curious. [19:33] tomreyn: I just filed an rt ticket about it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention! [21:19] :)
