[18:16] <xandey> Hi, I'm experiencing a bug with my ethernet driving not working on an ASUS motherboard. It appears fixed in the mainline kernel and I saw talk of it being fixed in 5.8. Is this worth filing a bug report or will 5.8 be available soonish for 20.04?
[18:42] <sixwheeledbeast> if you can't wait for a backport there is kernel-ppa/mainline or you could switch to groovy. I wouldn't know if a backport is planned.

[18:48] <xandey> sixwheeledbeast: I was more asking if submitting a bug report would be valuable to the development team. It sounds like it'd like just waste time since the issue should be fixed in the next HWE kernel.
