[00:41] any zfs experts here? [01:14] #zfsonlinux is pretty good for knowledgable people === halvors1 is now known as halvors [15:52] icey: software-properties is in the focal unapproved queue with wallaby cloud-archive support [15:52] \o/ === ijohnson is now known as ijohnson|lunch === ijohnson|lunch is now known as ijohnson [20:01] When I try to do an 'apt dist-upgrade' it wants to install x11-common. x11-common isnt installed currently (this is a headless server). How do I find out what package update is requiring x11-common ? [20:02] It also wants to remove qemu-kvm and stuff... why?! [20:02] shubjero: try sudo apt-get upgrade and see what's held back [20:03] Well I am purposely holding back a few ceph packages since I don't want those to be updated yet. [20:05] ok I think I've made it happy now. I removed a package I didnt need, cancelled the hold on ceph (its fine to update I guess since this is just a ceph client anyways) [20:06] now im not getting any strange installs of packages I dont need or removal of packages I need/use. [20:07] woot [20:17] if I have a specific question RE: systemd-resolved and how it behaves in certain setups/configurations, where would be the best place for me to ask you think? [20:20] teward: #systemd [20:20] sdeziel: thank you kindly [20:20] np [20:24] had a feeling we, those who monitor -server and such, would know ;) [22:37] do you need to port forward for window rdp application running on virtmanager vm [22:41] you have windows running in a vm? [22:43] yes [22:43] the vms dont connect directly to your lan? you using a virtual network? [22:44] im remote connecting outside of network its on im using a bridged network and the vm has internet access [22:45] you would need to port forward from the router to the vm, but its a bad idea to open an rdp port to the world [22:50] isnt there a way to use virtmanager built in vncviewer to connect to the vm? [22:53] how are you connecting now? [22:53] using teamviewer also trying realvnc but want a free software to connect [22:54] to connect to a windows machine, rdp is best [22:54] i cant connect :/
