Kubuntu have KDE, KDE has some translators that are not related to regular Ubuntu on Gnome [00:55] Well, I mean it depends on whether it's upstream projects that are translated elsewhere, or things specific to Ubuntu and its flavors that are translated at Launchpad. [00:56] I need a team of translators just for Kubuntu( [00:58] @krytarik, Are all Kubuntu support team members using IRC not Telegram directly? [00:58] Varies from person to person really. (I tried the same with unetbootin 681 before.) When I boot from the stick I get always the same error: 9 files are corrupt. Since I don't think this is expected, what shall I do? [14:38] I also tested with another usb stick. No luck. [14:39] Same error. [14:40] viewer|34: use dd to create the stick. always works. [21:16] hm, what kind of mouse is this? I have no such buttons on mine [21:23] logitech, it's not uncommon to find mice w/ the side buttons [21:27] oh, you mean to configure additional buttons, that also depends on the driver you use for X [21:54] viewer|32: What Kubuntu version? And try and see if the button presses are seen by 'xev' in the terminal - and if yes, what key names it reports on them. === kubuntu is now known as Guest17629 [22:33] Thank you for the reply, Krytarik, I have the latest stable 20.xx (I forgot) xev doesnt return anything when I use the side buttons [22:35] Mamarok Yes that's what I mean. I have the latest stable release. No change in X made by me. [22:50] viewer|32: Latest release was about two weeks ago btw, with 20.10 (second number indicates the month). And that's unfortunate then - what exact model? [22:51] thats it, i have only been here since Friday. Logitech G502. [23:06] viewer|32: So what does 'piper' say about it? === zxq9 is now known as _zxq9_ [23:23] hi.. [23:32] Krytarik, it shows there with the buttons all mapped out, and the led controls work, just no the buttons. [23:44] viewer|32: Does the mouse fully work in another OS, e.g. Windows? Or have you ever got it to work on Linux before? [23:45] yeah its fine in win10 [23:45] I thought it used to work at first but now I cant be sure [23:46] I was hoping there was a utility to map buttons and adjust the scroll speed as the default mouse preference panel is pretty stark [23:48] Well, you could try the Live session from the installation medium you used, to see if it did initially. [23:59] My Asus laptop with Inter Core i3 10th Generation doesn't support while Kubuntu or KDE Plasma. … I wish can use KDE Plasma. 😭 … Goodbye, guys. :(
